I've been running around with a Gimlet Spear for a while, (this is for my drg job) and when I reached level 14, I searched the AH for a new spear, and decided to buy the Spark Spear. So that's what I have for drg now.

I'm just wondering though.... does anyone know if it's possible to have the Gimlet Spear recharged when it completely runs out of use? I've been using it for a while to try and run it out, so that I can sell it on the AH, seeing as I don't really need it much as level 14. I did however, put it up for sale in my bazaar for a while, and didn't have much luck with anyone wanting to buy it. But I later thought that since I had already worn it down some, on its extra attack bonus, that no one will really want to buy it half used. So I thought..... maybe if I run it out completely, then I can recharge it so its renewed again, then I could put it up for sale on the AH. But I need to know if it's possible to recharge it first.
If not, then I guess the only thing I can do is to throw it away. /sigh!

Nope.

The crafted weapons/items with charges are one time per charge only. Once you break the first use, you cannot put it up on AH ever again, and unless there's a significant number of uses left on the item, I seriously doubt you'll ever find someone that'll buy it off you. Your best bet is to simply NPC (sell) the thing after you're done with it.

My memory tells me that looking back on it ingame today, I had about 21/50 uses on it. I'm not really sure if anyone would have bought it from me with that many uses on it, but regadless, it doesn't really matter anymore. I took your end advice and decided to sell it to an NPC in the end. It sold for a lot less than what I bought it for, more's the pity, *sigh!* but I guess I got what I wanted out of it and it lasted me for a good while too.

I'm just going to have to think about this kind of thing, next time I buy and item like that on the AH, and whether it's really worth it or not.
