Rajas Ring
1: Does the "Store TP+5" effect grant the ability "Store TP" to any job that wears the ring like the Brutal Earring grants users the Double Attack ability? I test it on my mnk and it didnt seem to, still got 5TP per hit. I was only one shotting rabbits outside of Sand'oria as I happened to be there for some reason when I thought of this. Maybe the double atk round is needed to get the Store TP? If not then its just usefull for sam and sub sam then, which is still good. Wiki doesnt say anything usefull about the effects.

2:Subtle Blow, does it work on rng atks? If not do rng get a subtle blow like ability for rnged atks? Again wiki does make it clear that it works for physical dmging spells but is unclear about rnged atks and someone in my ls it didnt work for rnged atks so I thought best to ask here.

Re: Rajas Ring
It gives 0.5 extra TP per hit I believe. Every job gets it.

Re: Rajas Ring
I heard that each Store TP+1 gives TP+1%?

If each punch is gain 5.00 TP without any Store TP bonus, then:
5.00 TP for 1 punch
10.00 for 2 punches
15.00 for 3 punches
20.00 for 4 punches

With Store TP+5 should gives:
5.25 TP for 1 punch (but only shown as 5 TP on screen)
10.50 for 2 punches (shown as 10 TP)
15.75 for 3 punches (shown as 15 TP)
21.00 for 4 punches

That is under the assumption that your TP gain is exactly 5.00 TP per fist.

Re: Rajas Ring
I heard the TP bonus had to do with the moon phase and the number of regions your Shogun had under his control...

But never mind about that, the way I understand it is that every Store TP point is equal to +1% TP, so the amount you get from each hit would depend on the weapon you are using.

(So in other words what Celeal just posted )

In any case Store TP +5 is a very small increase if you don't have Store TP traits and/or more +TP equipment on.

Re: Rajas Ring
just imo, if you have both melee and mage jobs, I prefer rajas.

But if you absolutely are a full time mage and hate melee, tamas wins.

21.00 for 4 punches
That is indeed how it works, except for one minor detail - TP only holds up to the tenths. 5.25 would become 5.2, so it'd go:
5.2
10.4
15.6
20.8

Store TP works for Ranged Attacks so I see absolutely no reason why Subtle Blow wouldn't (not that it matters; Subtle Blow is mostly useless unless you meet at least one of the following two requirements: 1) you have absurdly high quantities of it, or 2) everyone in the party has a half-way respectable quantity of it.)

It's also important to note that if Store TP doesn't give you enough of a boost to allow you to reach 100 TP in one hit less, it's not speeding you up at all. Be sure to take that into account; you may need an extra +1 Store TP (from Chiv. Chain, for example) to give you the last push you need.

Fun fact: Store TP doesn't affect the TP given to the mob (i.e. your TP per hit rises, but the TP you give the mob is still based off of your pre-Store TP numbers.)

Re: Rajas Ring
I ask because I was going to use it on Ranger for the Str and couldnt make up my mind whether just to use it for ws or keep it on all the time. I think I might just use it for ws. On my mnk its good because I get subtle blow+10 from Rajas+Melee Gaiters and the Str/Dex is good too, not so bothered about the Store TP for mnk now I guess as I wont get to 100 in 1 less atk round but then its really good for sam so I just wear it all the time as well.

Re: Rajas Ring
this is a cut and paste from a DRK thread on Allah. but i think it describes store tp very well. if it's worth the slots is your call.

-------------------------------
Store Tp:
Store Tp is a Percentage boost in gain of Tp with every Action that nets you Tp. +1 Store Tp = +1%...

Because of the Nature of the game there is only any real effect of Store tp when it allows you to shave off an extra Swing to get to 100%. All other Extra Tp is either Rounded off, or what good is 99% going to do you when you would have Normally Had 98%...

There are 3 Ways a Dark Knight can gain Store Tp: /sam Job Traits, Food, and/or Gear.

Sub Job
/Sam Give Darks access to 2 Store Tp Traits.
Store Tp I : +10 at level /10Sam
Store Tp II: +15 at level /30Sam

Food
Peperoncino:
* HP +30% (Cap: 70@233 Base HP)
* Vitality +2
* Store TP +5
Note: Meh Not so Great of a DD Food but it does have +5 Store Tp

Carbonara
* HP +14% (Cap: 175@1249 Base HP)
* MP +10
* Strength +4
* Vitality +2
* Intelligence -3
* Attack +17% (Cap: 65@382 Base Attack)
* Store TP +6
Note: More of a DD Food with Store Tp, but Pretty low Attack Cap Leave it Lacking at the Upper levels

Vongole Rosso
* HP +17% (Cap: 90@529 Base HP)
* Vitality +2
* Mind -1
* Defense +25% (Cap: 30@120 Base Defense)
* Store TP +6
Note: Meh... more Tanking Food

Nero di Seppia
* Charisma -1
* Vitality +2
* Mind -2
* Agility -1
* Dexterity +3
* HP +17% (Cap: 130@764 Base HP)
* Store TP +6
* Double Attack +1%
Note: Hard to place this food... Would be Amazing with like +22% Attack, but with only a +1% Double Attack it isn't much of a DD food

Pescatora
* HP +15% (Cap: 150@1000 Base HP)
* Vitality +3
* Mind -1
* Defense +22% (Cap: 65@295 Base Defense)
* Store TP +6
Note: More tank food...

Arrabbiato
* HP +15% (Cap: 150@1000 Base HP)
* Strength +5
* Vitality +2
* Intelligence -7
* Attack +22.5% (Cap: 120@533 Base Attack)
* Store TP +5
Note: This is the Big Boy... its Red Curry -1 and Store Tp +5, if your going to try and Make a Store Tp build work... this is your guy! Also should be Note'd a "+15% boost to Hp" is also a +15% Boost to Souleater Dmg.

Gear
Katana Obi: +1 Store Tp when /sam

Rajas Ring: +5 Store Tp

Bushido Cape: +1 Store Tp

Chivalrous Chain: +1 Store Tp

Haten Earring: +2 Store Tp Latent Trigger Unknown

Attila's Earring: +1 Store Tp

Brutal Earring: +1 Store Tp

There are 3 Items on the list you could be wearing already for the Stats other then the Store Tp. +7 Possible Store Tp, that could be going to waste depending on the Weapon you use.

Weapon Values
But None of this Information Helps you without knowing How many Swings it takes for your Weapon to get to 100% under Different Store Tp Conditions. Well guess what... Fro Figured them up for ya...

Store Tp: Swings
Subduer/Martial Sword
+0 : 9 Swings
+10: 8 Swings
+26: 7 Swings

Angol
+0 : 8 Swings
+8 : 7 Swings
+26: 6 Swings

Balin's Sword
+0 : 8 Swings
+10: 7 Swings
+29: 6 Swings

Tredecim Scythe/Death Scythe
Orichalcum Scythe/Martial Scythe
+0 : 7 Swings
+16: 6 Swings
+39: 5 Swings

Triton's Scythe/Death Scythe +1
+0 : 8 Swings
+3 : 7 Swings
+20: 6 Swings

Conclusions
With +22 Store Tp Easily obtained by Drk/Sam with All ready Gear you Could be wearing and Sub, it Makes this a Simply Food Choice. For me its Simply a Matter of Keeping My Raja ring on, and getting a Little Less Attack out of my Food to get my Subduer Down to 6 Swings. With my Tredecim I'll be able to Keep my Woodsman and Red Curry, and just with up the Store tp from Brutal and /sam to shave off 1 swing.

Store Tp builds for Darks Seem to Favor those few Triton's Scythe/Death Scythe +1 Users and the Great Sword Crowd since all those Weapons will leave you sitting just short of 100%. Making it Very Easy to shave off 1 Swing and Possible to Shave off 2.
