Re: Accuracy items

My SAM is only Lv.45, however this was the route I was planning on going once I hit Lv.59 for TP/Acc build.

Hauby - Acc+10
Woodsman Ring x2 - Acc+10 (total)
Spectacles - Acc+7
Life Belt - Acc+10

That provides Acc+37, choke down some Sushi and bang away. As DRK, the same amount of Acc and Sushi has more than served me well. So I'd have to believe that the same amount of Acc would do me quite nicely as SAM.

These 5 slots also allow a lot of room to load up on other STR or Attack items and still have pretty decent Acc. At Lv.71 there's still the O. Hat, which just about any Melee will want to get their hands on. There always seems to be a run going on, so you can probably get in on a pick up run, and still have pretty good success.

I would also invest in an Amemet Mantle +1. As soon as I hit Lv.61 I noticed a difference in my damage as DRK, I'd imagine having the STR & Atk for WS would be real nice for SAM WS and DPS.

Accuracy caps at 95%. While whether you believe this or not is up to you, having less than 90% will hurt in merit parties. DoT is the most important thing in merit, and the difference of 5% in Acc simply means difference of 5% in melee damage.

Having "enough" Acc doesn't have to mean sacrificing other stats. But it also requires you to have some of not-easy-to-get gears, such as OHat, Byakko/Shura Haidate, etc. Nevertheless, even if WS is the SAM's most important part, normal melee attack is something you can't just ignore. IMO shooting for more Acc, if you think it's not enough, is worth "sacrificing" some of the gears.

I was under impression that this is more or less the required technic for SAM's, starting from lvl 60 for AF head swap for meditate.

If you're not doing this, raidenn, you should start doing it now. swapping for WS will help improve WS damage, while keeping enough Acc for normal attacks.
