Bushido Cape worth the back slot?

I was looking around posible assault missions and rewards and came across the Bushido Cape, the store tp and subtle blow would be nice but the main feature on it that im interested in is the "Enhances "Zanshin" Effect" which means if you attack and miss you can attack again kinda like double attack, does anyone know how offten this would activate and would it be enough to use insted of a Amemet Mantle?

fyi this would be for my lvl 61 BST/NIN in DD gear.

The stats are:
Bushido Cape
(Back) All Races
DEF: 7 Evasion +1 Store TP +1
Subtle Blow +1
Enhances "Zanshin" Effect
Lv. 60 WAR / MNK / RDM / THF / PLD / DRK
BST / BRD / RNG / SAM / NIN / DRG / BLU
COR

I really don't think that it would kick in enough to outdamage the +10 att am mantle gives you. I was looking at this armor the other day trying to figure out what job would benefit from it.

I was under the impression that Store TP items were kind of worthless. As in they only gave you a fraction of 1% of TP return unless you had like 12 items with Store TP +1

I haven't seen any tests on the strength of the Enhances Zanshin, but unless it's extremely potent (5%+ Zanshin), it's going to be pretty marginal. Store TP+1 and Subtle Blow+1 aren't going to help you much, if at all, unless you find yourself with one of those rare weapon/gear combinations that leaves you at 99% TP on a regular basis since each Store TP+1 gives +0.1 TP per hit.

Might be amusing when combined with the much more powerful Rajas Ring, however.

I thought Zanshin was a Sam skill. So if you're Bst/Nin... then would it even benefit you?

It may be like the Bibiki Seashell where it gives you that effect.

Ya its like the brutal earring which gives any job the double attack +5% trait, il asume this is 5% also but there is not many tests done on it.

I think you have to have SAM as main to have that 'enhancement' to work.

Everyone has skills like Double Attack and Zanshin. Problem is, they're all set at lvl 0 until you get a job trait or gear to add something to the skill. The Enhance effect does have a marginal bonus, so until I could find some proof of it's effectivness, I'd get something else.

This item is not an enchanted item, therefore it has no enchantment.

My drg could equip triple dagger, Avenger's Earring, and eat tentacle sushi. Then I would have triple attack, counter and double attack from all of these items. Sounds great right? Not really. A ninja or pld could equip avengers earring and get counter to help tank. A +2 to a 0 ability is a waste compared to the other options that pld and nin have for earrings.

Well, considering the fact that with the Samurai update, Zanshin is now going to be a level 20 ability, that opens up the possiblity of having Bushido Cape actually be worth something now. Having an actual Zanshin trait should make the Enhances Zanshin on the cape more noticeable. Also, the Store TP enhancements would stack well with the ones you get from /sam, as well as any other Store TP gear you have as well.

One thing I could see this doing very well in, after the update, are TP/Haste builds for two-handed jobs using /sam. Bushido Cape, Rajas Ring, Homam for those that can wear it, Brutal Earring, your choice of DM/AN earrings, Tournament Lance for Dragoons (+3 Store TP), etc. That may be the new path for the two-handed jobs out there.
