Re: Cargo Crab Colin
I only found one other person camping him and that was just before the expansion. I just politely asked him if he was camping, he answered yes and I left to level dragoon. He gives up and tells me so I go and camp CCC and get the sword 1/6(first try that day). He asks me if I got drop and I tell him yeah. The NM is so uncamped on my server Quetz that you can simpley just come back later and nothing will happen to CCC. OH and yeah the other camper got Nadrs 1/3-4.

Re: Cargo Crab Colin
It's a really nice sword, well worth the effort imo.

Re: Cargo Crab Colin
CCC pops every 2-4 hours though mostly every 2 hours at the same spot every time. The place holder for CCC is a crab that pops in one of two ponds nearby. It doesn not matter which pond that the regular crab pops in if CCC is coming soon, just use the clock in your house. If you stray from your camp spot someone could run through and kill it withough you knowing and you'll be wondering if that happened when CCC does not pop, though there are 4 jellies that pop nearby to kill the boredom. I went 1/6 before I got it, thats alot of time spent on a sword that I only used on my thf for 3 lvls. The good thing about this sword is that is resembles a guitar when its on your hip. A very cool looking sword and noticeable.

Re: Cargo Crab Colin
In my experience (went 1/7 with TH2), the PH (Clipper) spawns in one of the two ponds on either side of the little bridge, but each time CCC popped he did so on land, never in the ponds.

Not that it mattered though, my "competition" consisted of a RDM running through the spawn area, presumably to farm the slimes that spawn just around the corner.

15 mins on PH repop sounds about right, you have enough time between PHs to run along to Falactus' spawn area and farm webs/check for NM.

The sword looks really cool though, keep at it ^^

Re: Cargo Crab Colin
I personally have gone 1/4 on this. I'd normally kill PHes and keep an eye out for him while playing games on my DS. I logged on this morning, saw the PH crab was dead, so I hung around. It popped, I killed it and got the drop. There's really no rhyme or reason to how he or the placeholder pops from what I can see. All I know is the PH pops in one of the two pools and Colin himself pops on or next to the rock bridge.

Re: Cargo Crab Colin
2/7 on Nadrs.
Poison effect seems to kick in quite often,
other than that camping CCC is usually easy since everyones trying to get Morion Worm :/

Re: Cargo Crab Colin
Just got Nadrs last night. This is one of those camps where you'll either get it very very quickly and easily, or you'll go so long without seeing either him or his drop that you'll start to hear voices and drool on yourself.

I put in 18+ hours camping this, 1/20... By the end of one run, I finished the evening running my character in a circle on the bridge and screeching. Unless you desperately love farming batwings here, it can get very monotonous very quickly. You'll also quickly lose respect for a large number of people on your server when someone magically shows up just before pop time and claims him out from under you. Keep at it though, it's a nice sword and a very interesting model for that level range.

One thing I have noticed about Nadrs is that in the few screenshots I've seen, it's always:

a slice of land crab meat
a slice of land crab meat
a crab shell
Nadrs

When I got him to drop it, I got:

a slice of land crab meat
a slice of land crab meat
a crab shell
Nadrs

I have a sneaking suspicion that this is CCC's only drop configuration that actually results in Nadrs hitting the treasure pool. If I'm right, that would probably explain why it seems so freakin' rare that he drops it.
