a question about meteorite

I'm kind of a noob ant this is the first time I found one, I was killing a crawler like I have hundreds of times but this one dropped a meteorite. is this worth anything? or even better, can I use to make a nice piece of gear? I have a 14 WAR/ 24 MNK.
or is it just junk?
any help would be appreciated.

Too bad you dont gan very much from the quest, I would just pawn it off to one of the random shops in my opinion. You would probably get a few 'K' at the least.
