The Aria di Mezzo Carattere (TheAMC) Opera is based upon the Opera House scene in Final Fantasy VI (III in the US). Our LS, TheAMC, is named after this opera, so we thought it a fitting plot line for our first LS production. We hope you enjoy The Aria di Mezzo Carattere Opera.

Interesting two minutes (is that how long it's supposed to be?). If there's a plot, I don't get it, and there's no singing.

It looks like it was difficult to make, however, so keep up the good work and we'll see what the finished product is like.

That is because it is a trailer. If you have played through the Opera House scene in FFVI (3 in the US), you can probally identify alot of the shots from scenes. The whole thing is going to clock in at about 25-30 minutes.

Watched about 5min of it and can't watch anymore...

Reason being is my 7yr old is about to beat FF3 on SNES and is going to LOVE this, so I wanna wait for him to see it.

With the amount of work you can obviously tell was put into this, it's not even moral to point out any flaws. And to anyone that does, I say do better...cuz you won't, you'll be a poser.

Thank you for bringing back such great memories. Just the little bit I watched had me sitting there with a stupid grin on my face the whole time.

"It was the most awesome thing I've ever seen in the whole world!" - with alot more bouncing off of walla and such... hadn't had his lucky charms yet, thankfully...

I never expected such praise from a professional FF3 critic. They are normally so hard to please, what with playing a near perfect game.

FRAPS for video capture (of course)
GIMP for image editing
FFXI Model Viewer for blue screen work
Adobe Premier for video editing
Microsoft Media Encoder for video encoding

I'm more of a lurker around here and I don't post often, but I just have to say... WOW! Awesome work. Very entertaining.

FFVI is my favorite out of the series, so I was especially excited to see this video get finished. I can imagine it took a lot of work. It was directed very well -- I especially loved the dialog scenes. I laughed out loud as Ultros made his appearance.

I'd love to see you guys reproduce more FF series scenes.

Cannot seem to download the 400 mb file without buying into the fastpass. Do you have another location where I can get the 400 mb file?

I already watched it on google video, but the quality was horrible. I loved it.

Either he changed the Server setting [if he was a douche]...

Or, the setting were changed automatically due to high DL volume [cuz the sites annoying]...

Either way that's odd because that's the file I DLed for my son the other morning.

It amazes me how much time and effort is put into these videos created by the fans and players of the games. alot of hardwork has been put in here by the linkshell and the people who edited it all. You should all be proud of your acheivement.

I have noticed from using Filefront that their "Free" server availability can sometimes be sporadic. Sometime you get several servers (or dozens) available at a time, and sometime they have zero available. I believe they probally have a contract to use available bandwidth when it is available on those servers, and when it is not available they don't list the servers. You will notice that all of the servers they list are actually used for other things on the internet. Also, judging by the number of servers available based off of file sizes, only certain servers allow large file sizes.

Anyhow, use the posted mirror or download the average quality. The average quality is pretty good looking.

Oh, I also just noticed this message on filefront:

And in the video thread on Alla they are mentioning that they can't upload to Filefront right now. So it could be related to that as well.

Regenshire, how come you did not enter your video into the contest at Fan Festival? Was there a limit as to how long your video could be? (maybe if you cut out the fight scenes? or shorten them?) I'm sure this would have been a crowd favorite as well as one of winners.

I had briefly considered it, then I read the requirements for it.

1. 7 Minute limit on the video
2. It wasn't close to finished by the submission date
3. I wasn't going to the Fan Festival
