Im definatly gonna have to go with the majority, THE VIDEO ROCKS!! That was the best 3 minutes and 1 second Ive had this weekend! (Which isnt saying much, but it was a damn good vid!)

I'd like to make an FFXI movie / music video ... Heck, I'd like to make my own series. But... Ummm... My only issue is two things.

1: I want to actually try building Zones / Areas.
2: I'd like actual cinematic camera angles, much like Capcom's "Onimusha", "Devil May Cry", and "Resident Evil" games. While true, it does make sense for the Camera to basically use the player character as a "Pivot Point" for Camera movement... It's a huge "turn off" for me and puts a damper on alot of my plans.

However... I guess I'll give making a movie / series / trailer another shot. I'm not bad at editing videos myself. Looks like you've got some competition, Kato. /grin

I guess I can try what was suggested to me some months back-- To try using programs along the lines of 3D Max Studio or something to that effect to try and load zones and characters... Since I'm just trying to film stuff. The only problem I can see running into there would be-- as it was also mentioned-- some type of file format converter to read FFXI's .DAT information correctly. But I guess I can try to give it a whirl.

Honestly, I don't see much progress in that field for Final Fantasy XI, DF, because, quite seriously....do you think we would be able to crack the most guarded of data that Square-Enix keeps? In fifty years, maybe, but in the next twenty years? No.

I'll be honest, what we have is what we get... :|

Holy shit! Are you professional? If you aren't try to go pro on trailer making. I think you could go pretty far. Well from 1-10 the trailer was 9.2 out of 10. Good job!

Special News; I am considering acquiring Treasures of Aht Urghan and attempt to create a ToAU-themed Trailer.

If I am able to be totally convinced on this, I may acquire it after all. Remember, I am totally turned off by MMO's nowadays.

Note: There is that pesky framerate cap, too...that alone was a big pain even for the first trailer I did for FFXI.
