Re: Chocobo Digging FAQ

Let's say I wanted to level... Where would be the best spots to rank up?

Someplace on your server that isn't camped out. Seriously.

Some of the behaviours carry across all servers, like how the desert is horrible for anyone but mid-high to high level diggers cause it's near constant dug up. But some behaviour doesn't, like on some servers Sarutabaruta is heavily dug, some it's Gustaberg or Ronfaure, so no there isn't a specific way to say, go here and do this and you'll rank up. You can't rank up if the zone is dug out.

SO to solve that, you'll have to test your server first, go to each of the starting cities and begin to dig the newbie zones during the time you will most likely do the majority of your digger to see how bad the competition is at your time. The newbie zones seem to be the best places to get your first couple of levels, but which one you start at depends on how badly camped they are already.

When you progress, you'll run across entire LS's devoted to digging, some botting diggers, and some 24/7 diggers (most likely see that in Rolanberry). You'll probably want to make a list of other diggers you run across, don't expect this to be a short list. You'll use this list to pull searches of zones you plan to dig before you get there. To help you travel, you'll want your OP warps done, and have leveled both WHM and BLM so you can Tele and Warp. On Ramuh, my list of diggers is 200+, some are hobby diggers and only do it very little, others are members of full LS's to it that take turns digging.

Luck

Re: Chocobo Digging FAQ

my server, there are 3 bot diggers, 20-30 diggers that only dig during early waxing crescent, about 5-6 diggers (like me) trying to level up digging, and another 30-40 that dig depending on their schedule.

friday-saturday tends to be the worst time to dig; sunday-thursday is much better chance of getting decent digging session.

Re: Chocobo Digging FAQ

Cool. Are there any specific zones I should level in?

No, but just zones where you are encountering low competition. Once you have levels under your belt, then you can go into competition zones and have a chance.

Great, thanks guys.

Also!

If I hit say a bone chip on my first dig, will I automatically rank up?

Re: Chocobo Digging FAQ

By the way, the 400 mb limit has exceeded today. Is there a mirror site for the guide?

Re: Chocobo Digging FAQ

the mirror site is working, my primary site I'm on the verge of doing maintenance on it and certain parts are down as a result (including the forums and anything else that eats bandwidth)
