New to Gilgamesh
So I have been on for a couple of days now and this server does seem to be a lot less populated than siren was. I haven't decided if that's a good thing or not. I don't know if its just because i'm only at level 15 and haven't made it to jeuno yet or if everyone is elsewhere now because of the expansion. Its hard to be patient with the ah.

Any thoughts?

Oh yeah My character's name is bloodybill from bastok holla! ppl!

I also could use a good linkshell with some vets.

Re: New to Gilgamesh
Yeah feels like there is a lot less PT, especially when trying to form PTs ; ;

Re: New to Gilgamesh
well i've all but given up on ever trying to level in korroloka tunnel. It seems like i will be remanded to the dunes for my entire 10-18 career. The auction house is slow as a month of sundays.

On the upside, I've actually seen times when no one is camping lizzy in gustaberg.
maybe ill get my boots this weekend.

I've also made a tiny name for my self as a good tank (so far) people /tell me for parties whether my flag is up or not where ever i am.

I really hope things improve when i get to jueno........

Re: New to Gilgamesh
Yeah, the dunes are still the standard. The only time you'll leave anywhere else is with a bunch of really nice people a.k.a your LS.

If your doing a good job tanking that's great.

Reputation is key in this game and my reputation is like 0 now since I'm no on as much as I once was ; ; Oh the good times ;;

Zempten used to be cool. Now he just kinda lingers around.

Welcome to Gilgamesh! We have one of the more decent economies in the game. If you think the AH is slow, wait till you get to Jeuno. There is more action there than you can shake a stick at.

And there are a lot of sticks in Vana'diel.

Re: New to Gilgamesh
Soooo I guess I spoke too soon. last nite when i logged on I was just long enough to run from the dunes to check my del box and i got a tell inviting me to a pt in korroloka. It was a mainly jp party and after some language kinks (and a death or two) we started cranking out xp like there was no tomorrow.

i'm still a little disappointed with the ah's in the 3 cities, I used to be able to mine up some iron and zinc and by the time my party was done I could go to my del box and cash out, or worst case scenario I could put it up for sale overnight and cash out in the morning. I have now had about 20 or so iron ores so long that i've just resolved to take up blacksmithing because checking my del box to see that NOTHING has sold just makes me want to smash something.

I'm really trying to diversify the things I sell at the ah but nothing seems to sell quickly. it seems just when i find a niche to make some money someone puts 20000 of the item on sale. Im currently at 18 and just got my subjob last nite and I dont have the $$$ to afford powders and oils for the trip to jueno quite yet.

Im thinkin beehive chips or grain seeds might be the ticket, but who knows any suggestions would be grealy appreciated. ^^

Re: New to Gilgamesh
Hi. Welcome to Gilgamesh.

I thought the same thing too, about this server's population, back when I started in December. However, overtime, and watching the flux of ppl come in and out during the day and comparing it to other servers, we're actually pretty up there in population world wide. I think we're 5th or 6th in the list.

On average, during the day to afternoon, it will be around 3k ppl. At night to late night, it hits about roughly 2k.

At first I thought I was having problems getting pt invites, but now, as time has moved on, its pretty normal and good. I haven't struggled with parties at all in Jan or Feb.

Anyway, as far as farming goes, it's tough all across the board. I use to be able to farm crystals and sell those pretty well. Now crystals, are 1k a stack or less... and we're talking the good ones..... ; ;
