A DNC in a full evasion set, yes.

Also: When camping Hotpot... remember that there's a fake wall right near there that leads to one of those CoP-looking "Mysterious Machines". That's going to be the only place you can safely AFK in that entire area if you insist upon staying right near the spawn area.

That room it spawns in is shaped like a T. The false wall is on the top left of that T shape.

My new semi long-term goal

Burn up Thf to 99 & gear it with just some basics (as its main function will be for farming).
The reason for that….so I can get back into cooking!
(if you didn’t figure it out by now…I dropped fishing a while ago. I couldn’t handle it. Props/Kudos to you LS & Ebisu rod peeps)

Hear me out. Because I’ll need suggestions. I put cooking down at 43, and started back up last night. It’s obvious cooking and being Bst go pretty well together. I was searching Wiki and noticed the following

Pet Food Epsilon – Caps at 49
Pet food Zeta – Caps at 59
Pet Food Eta – Caps at 69
Pet Food Theta – Caps at 79
Dawn Muslums – Caps at 97

The ingredients for all of those are very easy to farm. Some a little tedious or time consuming (Apkallu & Puk eggs) but easy. And being a career Bst, all successful synths will go to good use.

Plan is….
47-49 – Pet food Epsilon
49-59 – Pet food Zeta
59-69 – Pet food Eta
69-79 – Pet food Theta
79-90 - ???
90-97 – Dawn Muslums
97-110 - ??? (i mean if your gonna get to 97...whats another 2 levels (...hell i'm sure >< ))

Now I understand there will be a lot of broken synths in some of the earlier stages. But most of that stuff will be free or dirt cheap and you can skill up on breaks. Started last night on Epsilon and got from 43.0 to 47.1. I’ll probably cap on Epsilon tonight and start on Zetas soon.

Epsilon is meh…but Zeta/Eta/Theta are all common items I use. Hoping this will save my wallet (and make me a buck or 2 on the side)

I also set up a group to run UO last night and the night before for a total of 12 times. YOYD... so I really only got 4 whacks at it.

New goal... find a new group (of friends like Cid and Hayde) to run these again a few times and pool the rewards and split the profit. If we had done that with this group each of us would have walked away with 8,000,000 gil to split 3 ways for a gain of 2,600,000+ gil each.

Are these LS friends? We generally have a rule of thumb when we go. YOYD for all crappy npc-ing type items and full splits on expensive items. Unless the sponsor is going to use the spell.

I’ve contemplated doing Up In Arms again…but how many people can say they’ve seen 2 drops there.

I used to duo Up in Arms with another SMN using the Carbuncle Meteor trick. It was never a question of if it could be won... it was ALWAYS a question of if we could do it before the time ran out. I've been on more than 1 run in UIA where we won by only seconds... and in one case it was only because we ran into melee beside carby for the last 10 seconds.

Really a Linkshell goal list.
Get everyone up to Rank 10 for San d'Oria. Coincidentally, everyone in the Linkshell is San d'Orian. JPM is silly.
Wait until everyone is on the "Emptiness Bleeds" chapter for Chains of Promathia before starting it. We've all agreed to face the final boss at the same time.
And probably do the other Missions, though so far only the Ranks and CoP are our current goals.

My personal goals are just levelling up either my PLD or BRD. Might work on my WHM, too. Limit Break quests included.

Anyone interested in forming up an Under Observation spam group? Still need an Utsusemi: Ni scroll but I have no problems at all with the rewards being pooled and if more than one scroll drops, the cost of the scroll being subtracted from my share of the profit if I can take one.

Days I'm free:

Tuesday and Thursday nights - Evening GMT but can push it to later.
