I have an exclusive piece of crap from TM's toilet you can buy for only $106. It's an exorbitant price for something that was practically free to produce, but I've got a monopoly lol! Can't buy this crap anywhere else, no sir!

Aside from the Security Token, I have not bought and will prolly not buy any SE items like these. And I only bought the token cause of the extra space.

Give me something cool for ~20 bucks that maybe also gives me something super useful ingame to boot and I'm sold, otherwise {(No thanks.)}

Hard to get a bead on the value of this thing. Other silver tags I'm finding are either extremely simple or extremely intricate compared to SE's tag, and range from 1/5th the price to 5x the price. $106 may be reasonable for it. Of course, the fact that everyone but Dak is taken aback shows that we're not exactly jewelry-buying people. But you know the nation-stamped jewelry at fanfest was selling out, so who knows.

I'm not buying unless they're willing to negotiate a trade for some of my exclusive useless merchandise.

I would estimate that a customizable piece of jewelry that size and with the same approx. amount of ornamentation including the chain at an average store would run about $80-$85. So yes, it is priced higher than it should be. Currently sterling sliver is popular. In the past, it really wasn't and you could get stuff dirt cheap. I buy my mother and other family members jewelry so I do keep an eye on prices of things regularly. I'm willing to pay the extra $20ish to have my little piece of FFXI since I no longer play. I tried to get a commissioned piece done with my characters and my family's characters but the a-hole just jerked my chain so it never got done.

Just wait a couple weeks and look it up on ebay, some creepy questionable company / person will have made a replica out of plastic or other cheap material that looks just like the original and it will be just as good and no one will know what a cheap bastard you are for buying lame replicas but you'll look awesome wearing it, it'll be a secret that's gonna haunt your life for all evers.

Later on, folks will be drawn to your shiny crappy replica and they will ask "where's the tag from dewd?" to which you will not want to answer truthfully because you know just how ridiculous it is to actually use it. You'll go home and cry yourself to sleep.

At least you only spent like ninety cents on it.
