How do I get 10 slots at the AH?

I'm sure this has been answered before but I can't seem to get any answers.
When I put an item up at the AH I can only put seven at a time but there are three more spaces at the bottom which leads me to believe that there is some way to upgrade to 10 slots.
How do you do this?

You can't, unfortunately. They're just too lazy to remove the last three spaces I suppose, since all of the other windows show ten items/transactions.

Re: How do I get 10 slots at the AH?

Thats just SE being lazy with not letting up put the three extra slots. Wish I could use the last three as well. Too bad they didn't put in a quest so that you can sell more stuff at once... Like help the people who run the AH, and they let you sell three more things... But it doesnt work like that.

Re: How do I get 10 slots at the AH?

Use the /pray command repeatedly while standing near the fountain in whatever nation you want extra slots (Bastok Markets, Northern San d'Oria, Windurst Woods, or Rulude Gardens) during the Waning Crescent moon while wielding an elemental staff matching the element of the day. There is a 0.01% chance of getting an extra slot for that AH each time you try this.

Some people believe that filling your house with Millionaire's Desks improves your chances.

Most people just pay SE an extra $1 per month for a mule and get 7 extra slots.

By the way... I'm selling Gjallarhorns and Aegis for 100,000gil each, signed, sealed and in your Delivery Box within 48 hours of ordering!

I think the direction you face when praying is important and depends on the day of the week.

Ok, truth be told though, you could create a extra mule character to use 7 slots on that character for the AH as well. It would cost you a dollar extra a month but you may need the mule eventually anyways for extra storage space.

Seriously, though, getting a mule not only gives you another 7 slots, it lets you have those slots in a starter city without having to spend half an hour getting to the city to manage your AH. Why is this a good thing? Because the AH fees are lower, and if you can find stuff worth selling for a good profit in starter cities, you can get some good income.

Also, the things which are sold by NPCs in only one city, and especially the ones depending on which nation is in first, you can get your mule to buy those without having to waste time traveling.

Another good point is the ability to use storage slots as well as MH slots ... Bahuts are cheap for what they provide, and 10 of them give you 80 slots, so long as you're in your home city.

You can also use yellow pots. 1 pot = 4 storage spaces, and are REALLY cheap, and if you do use tons of them, they will help your gardening as well.

Travel back in time to 2002. Then you will be able to use 10 AH slots. Say hi to the Doctor for me.

As you can afford 9-drawer Almirahs, you can hand down Bahuts to mules. Even better is that they can probably benefit more from the Moghancement Gardening, since you won't want your main's inventory taken up with gardening pots. And it's yet another argument for having a nation mule over a Jeuno mule.
