I want to know about the free trail and gemics out the so I know before I make an account. I know the 30 day free trail for newcomers. I heard something about if someone spares you 10000 gil, you can get a free membership trail as a friend account. Once thats up you need to pay or use your free account. I was wondering if this is true? Is it a lie? If this is true, please invite send a message to my page. Does anyone know who to get by without having a valid credit card for a 30 day trail? Im stuck in the registration. I dont want to do anything illegal but I still want to get my game up tonight or Ill have to wait till I can talk to my mom. Thats going to be like 2 days from now because shes got to work and I have to get stuff ready for college and apply for jobs. GRANDAD YOU KNOW ANYTHING? There is where you get the free trial online. You can get a trial disc at your local Gamestop store if they still have any left. It costs like $2 or $3 US.

The "friend account" you are talking about is the buddy pass. When someone buys a Vana'diel Collection in the store, they get a code for a buddy pass in the box. It is a 30 day free trial just like the online one.

You MUST have a credit card on file in order to play. You can not get around this. So you are stuck until your mother can register her card to your account.

You could try a Pre-paid credit card, I've heard they work. The only problem is that you'll have to make sure you have enough on the card so that it doesn't lapse every month.

thanks guys i just used your post for the free trail. but isnt there any other ways to use the buddy invite system? i thought their was that one that you can just join as a party guest for like 10 days by paying a bunch of gil, and the only way to log on was to adventure with the lead or guy that did the inviting to the linkshell or whatever.


what did you mean by lapsing? the payment charges you if you dont close it every month?

You only get one 30-day trial for your account. After the 30 days, if you want to continue playing, your credit/pre-payment card will be charged. If you use a pre-payment card and don't keep it topped up with enough credit, your account will be suspended by SE. You will still be able to access the free things such as POL and errm.. POL but you won't be able to access FFXI until you top-up your payment card.

The way you have worded this tells me you are expecting to be able to activate 30-day trials each month and transfer your character. If you, you can't, that's not the way it works.

There is no "pay 10000 gil for buddy account" now there is a gold world pass, that you can get, and give to a friend, and in turn when they enter that pass, it will place them on your server. After a set time, you and your friend can receive prizes for this gold world pass. Also without a credit card, debit card, or rechargeable vista card, you cant not play at all. If you don't want to play after the first 30 days, then around day 25, cancel the account.

Oh and FYI -.- when a thread is closed, its for a reason, your not being "targeted" ;p
