How do I keep from getting Auto-Logged Out?

I just purchased FFXI for the Xbox 360 and am having some trouble. When I played on the PS2 I could set up my Bazaar, sit down, and walk away from the machine to run some errands in the real world while my character hawks his wares.
When I try to do this on my Xbox, however, it logs me off I'm not there constantly giving it input.
Is there some way to turn this feature off?

The same way you turned it off on the PS2. It's an option in the config menu.

To be a bit more specific, when you go to "Config" select "Global" and it will give you the option to turn off your auto-disconnect function.

Thanks. I played the PS2 version five years ago and had forgotten I had ever changed the setting.
