Wow thanks I posted this ages ago and gave up lol.. Then I JUST got off ebay and didnt even find anything on there but somehow you come back with 2 games posted on there lol.

Simple solution to that is to not bid at all until the last 15 seconds or so, and to bid the maximum you are willing to pay in that one bid. For an item like this that is so rare to find, and there's enough people camping eBay like you, the last thing you want is to advertise that there is yet another person wanting to bid on the item. If you don't place your bid early, you don't encourage other people to desperately try to outbid you, and you end up with a lower ending price on the auction. I have never bid on eBay more than a few minutes before an auction ends unless it's a common item I wasn't desperately trying to get or there was a Buy It Now option at a low enough price.

There won't be another PS2 collection released outside of Japan until Sony starts selling machines that can run the PS2 version again. The most PS2 users get is a single print run of any new expansion disc, and you have to buy that within the first two months of release or you run into the problem he is facing now, only used copies will remain on the market, and at greatly increased pricing because of the limited quantity actually being circulated. However, you always have the option of reposting the item for sale and getting at least part of your cost back after you use the disc to install the data you need, since there's still demand for the discs. You essentially loan out your money to borrow a copy of the disc and then pass it on to the next person that needs it.

Buy PS2 versions as soon as they release, or deal with the used market and increased pricing. If you aren't playing when a PS2 disc releases, but think you might ever come back, buy it ASAP or suffer this fate.

That's what I do. But there's other people with that same method so the bid can either get up to 75 bucks right away or in the last 15 seconds lol.
