Changing from pc to Xbox.

If i change from Final fantasy XI for the PC to the Xbox version, will i have to create a new account?

I play on both PC and Xbox, and although the PC does sport a higher resolution and smoother framerate, it just feels better playing on a big screen and on a couch instead of at my office desk.

It is for achievement... but seriously, after playing a re-roll character with 2 75 chr for 1 and half year (the account life span) I only gotten maybe 100 points...that is all.

I'm thinking of making the move too, simply because my computer is in my computer room, and I would rather play comfortably on the couch in the entertainment room. I also use a 360 controller on the pc for games, and it wouldn't be that big of a change except more comfort.

Connecting a PC to my big screen in my family room is something that I do not want to do. A console is the next best option that works fairly well.

Yup, especially when your pc is in a different room. Some people have multiple rooms in their houses!

Xbox 360 freeze ALOT in ffxi.
Especially dynamis, besieged or even some other large scale battle.

I admit I'm using a PS2, not a 360, but I realized something today that might help. In Config->Effects, "All effects during battle" being on apparently means ALL effects ON during battle, no matter what the rest of your settings are!

It might be a good idea to turn this off in Besieged or whenever you start to see lag in a campaign battle.

Lol, no one explained fully.

When you install FFXI on the xbox, just add your POL account from that you have on the PC (Meaning your POL ID and Password) and you'll be able to log in with your character
