Where are all the players?

Hey guys
So,I have just restarted playing on a new account(cause I lost the previous one) and I don't know but it seems to me that Sylph world is dead and not many people seem to be actually chatting at all.Not just in game,but also in the chatrooms.
Heck,I joined one chatroom and I immediately got kicked and banned.Not sure why either.
But anyway,just wondering where are all the players.

Or they all moved to Seraph.

(1) Some people have lives on weekends. Not everyone comes running to a video game just because they have the day off.

(2) You're coming in on the holiday season, which is where everyone likes to spaz and proclaim the game is "dying" when people are really just adhering to #1

(3) You just started. The starter cities aren't going to be that populated on any server because the majority of the playerbase is high level. We don't have a reason to hang around in the starter cities that much. If you want to find people to chat with, make some pals on the various forums, I'm sure there will be people on Sylph that are more than happy to help you.

(4) Don't come to Odin. We're full, kthx

I can't even get on for another 2 hours, (if that) I just hope the credit card works this time...I am like to excited to play. Yesterday was Halloween so its all good I was busy yesterday anyway. (But, we the players are here lol.)

This game has chatrooms?

Or better yet, people actually use them!?

Those chatrooms have nothing to do with FFXI. Only perverted kids or child molesters seem to use the chatrooms. Stay away.

Wasn't aware about the chatrooms Ameroth,but still,it would be great to use them for further chat without going in game

Wow, I didn't know anyone actually used those chatrooms in the POL viewer. Or played Tetra Master for that matter. I should take a peak in there one of these days...

If Odin is full that means you can't get in, because the max number of players is already allowed. I went into the chatrooms yesterday just to see what they were like..and yeah the people in them are very weird...

Yes I'm sure it's very social. You'll talk to lots of people as they camp on top of you in exp spots, farm on top of you in good farming spots, claim the NM you've been camping for 4hr, get the Despot pop after 8hrs of attempts, and fill up the LV8 beseiged so you can't get the last 2000 IS you need. Very social.
