If 27/30/33 MP every 3 min breaks you most of the time, then there are other issues you should be worried about. Obi+weather and Macc is fine, Klimaform if needed as well. -20 Enmity frees up a ton of slots for -enmity to easily hit the -50 cap, and be able to safely cure IV-ga/Erase-ga your PT and others in crap situations occur little hate, not to mention being low on the hate list the entire time anyway. Aftermath, once someone actually unlocks one of those weapons and finds out the duration of the effect, then it will really see how nice these are.

But I'll never get one, so I'll just stick with my HQ staffs (though I wish they could make a synth that combines them into 1, 100% success 8 NQ->1 rainbow staff, 8 HQ->1 prism staff, same with Obi...)

The RDM>THF bit earlier was a joking reference to someone screwing up the job list they compared the bit map to last update. The correct job order (I had to pay attention to this in designing my equipment database) is: WAR MNK WHM BLM RDM THF PLD DRK BST BRD RNG SAM NIN DRG SMN BLU COR PUP DNC SCH

In any case, WAR RDM PLD DRK swords are not uncommon (although according to FFXIclopedia, the highest level previously existing one was Gold Sword at 62).

264 delay is high for a longsword though, that's well into bastard sword territory. Fortunately 44 DMG is also high for RDM usable swords.

It would be nice if you are fighting skeles and it's a cheap sword, otherwise with such delay Mensur (while solo-duoing) Mighty and even Anelace +1 would probably give you better results.

Unless the resist effect is really awesome that is (yeah right.)



PS > Either way 1g says it will be an expensive for-looks-only kinda sword no other job will even bother with.

The WS is a 1-hit critical hit (oh yay) and it seems now that the OAT is part of the Aftermath, which means you'd need TP 1st.

Meanwhile a MNK with say Spharai (which at this point is still easier to obtain) will be out damaging the hell out of you from the higher base damage, bigger Asuran Fists and the random procs for 2.5x normal damage.


And barrage accuracy on the xbow? retarded. I was really hoping it would enhance bolt effects, which would have been amazing but no, SE chose to be retarded. I don't see anyone except someone who's really bored and already has Yoichinoyumi and Annihilator going for this.

Oh noes! Now they have to wait 40 seconds before they gain a constant and consistant OAT effect! How horrible...

Gun and Bow will still clean it's clock, that's how (since G. Colibri are practically immune to acids and resist the bejesus out of holy bolts)


Also, I'd say the chance to land a kick for potentially 1000 dmg > OAT (depends on the proc rate)

plus as I said, you need to use the new WS for that, which as it stands looks like shit (a 1-hit critical? WTF... and I doubt the mods will be as good as Final Heaven, which is also crap tbh)

The combination of increased Snapshot, increased Barrage Acc and increased Racc from Aftermath means the Xbow will be one of the best TP gaining weapons a Rng could get.

And the same could be said of the Mnk weapon which will enhance Focus while granting Acc and OAT.

While they may not beat the old Relics, they were never supposed to. But they're still both incredible weapons.
