Any way to prevent rank down in campaign?

I will be gone for four months and unable to play online games where I am going (please don't say "just do this to get connection blabla", just accept it).

Is there any way to prevent my Campaign Rank from suffering too much? Losing four ranks this high will blow. It would be nice if there's a way to lose maybe one rank instead of four...

You should only lose one rank if you only get one evaluation done in that time period.

Agreed, you will only lose one rank, and you won't lose it until you talk to the NPC again.

Re: Any way to prevent rank down in campaign?

Anyone know if you can get penalized for not contributing to campaign while your medal actually is expired? Note that you can't refuse to accept the evaluation when your medal is expired, but if you're careful about the timing, it'd be easy enough to verify you're slated to break even shortly before your medal expires...

If your medal expires you cannot participate in campaign, likewise you cannot get sigil and perform campaign ops. You have to get a new evaluation and assume the new rank you get before you can do any of those things.

That wasn't my question.

Normally, each day you do not do anything to contribute to campaign (gain AN), you are assessed a penalty. Thus, if you do nothing for several weeks and then try to campaign battle to a rank-up, you need to gain far more AN than you would have had to earn for a rank up within say five days of the last eval.

My question is whether anyone knows whether this penalty continues to be assessed every day after your medal has expired, or whether your eligibility for promotion/demotion/renewal remains essentially fixed once the medal expires.

Sorry. No once your medal is expired you are no longer eligable for promotion until you have accepted the demotion. Was that the answer you were looking for?

After the 'window' closes your next evaluation is essentially decided.

Edit: Since your medal has expired and are unable to participate in campaign it wouldn't make sense for a penalty to continue to increase against you. You do only lose 1 rank between evaluations so i am inclined to think that after your evaluation period ends nothing else matters.

You can't prevent it, but you will only lose 1 rank regardless of how long you are inactive.
