Yeah I've done a similar move, used Chainspell and Escape to save a party.



Except I hit Warp instead of Escape. I personally thought it was hilarious, the party...not so much.

Due to me refusing to actually unmacro my 2 hour abilities, I've had plenty of times where I've accidentally popped Chainspell and hilarity ensued.

About a week ago I did it in Nyzul on a Lamps floor, not wanting to waste it I chain nuked a DC mob to death.

Add: Another good one was tanking Byakko, I was going to be Captain Badass and straight tank Hundred Fists with Chainspell > Utsusemi. Byakko pops his 2hour, I pop mine, he immediately uses Radiant Breath then goes on to 3-shot me.

Yeah, I was thinking Seiryu.

I'm curious how many ports you could get off before chainspell wore. That would be pretty fun to try. lol

Linkshell has been all fine and dandy past couple of weeks. We did Xarcabard on the 22nd, MNK Head, DRG Head and WHM Hands dropped. Jeuno on the 25th and MNK Hands, 2 DRG Hands, and 2 SAM Feet.

Glacier yesterday and only the WAR Legs dropped.

We actually managed to get win in Glacier. Albeit, both PLDs got slept and we lost claim on the damn boss for a few minutes and the Dragons came back and almost raped us, the ppl who needed win got win.

We're going to do Hydras next time we do the Glacier (/run sarcasticexcitement.exe).

I don't even know what the hell the Hydras are, but I wiki'd them and found that they're not sleepable.

Do they have a higher chance of dropping relic?

Yeah I had meant Seiryu, Byakko on the brain because Diorites suck.

And unfortunately Chainspell wears when you zone, no fancy teleport tricks.

We did Glacier last night as well, we debated for about 2 hours on whether or not to do it because drops suck there for us usually and the LS bank is hurting at the moment.

Walked away with clearance and THF, MNK, SAM, RNG, and BLMx2, not a terrible haul despite the bank being in the red now, lol.

The rumor is yes. From my personal experience, no. Are they fun to kill? HELL YA! But I really haven't seen any significant increase in my years of Dynamis. Some people swear they do though but I think experience trumps that.


Did Bastok last night, Melee Gaiters and Monster Jackcoats for EVERYONE! >< Abyss Sollerets, Duelist Gloves, Sorcerer's Tonban dropped but no 100 pieces.

EDIT: Oh ya just remembered we did get 2 stacks of 99 bynes though.

Regarding Hydras, don't listen. They're fucking evil and they don't drop Relic. In fact I think they take Relic back from you when you kill them.

Callisto and Aks said some pretty funny stuff on the Pet Peeve thread I'm going to address here.

Aks, while it's true that it's annoying to have negative status effects, what pisses me off is when me, as a PLD, doesn't get the TLC needed to keep everyone alive.

Case in point, I'm asleep, and Angra is running buckwild, and the dragons are on the way back. I can easily voke two of them, but a BLM runs RIGHT PAST me. I'm at the top of the slope, and the pt members who aren't dead are at the bottom of the slope killing it. This isn't a problem, per se, but just aggravating.

And I hate when I'm sleep (on RDM or PLD) and I don't get priority for a wake-up cure. Duh, if I'm awake, I can awake more people...

Some whitemages are completely awesome, and some suck. Thankfully, none of my WHMs in Dynamis suck, they just have way too much shit going on in their lives.

I usually only die when it's my fault.

The running gag is that the drops in Dynamis suck until I get killed by at least 2 NMS. ; ;

Blms that do nothing but nuke, especially in a crisis, piss me off to no end. They have this "Oh the rdm or whm will take care of it" attitude. I know for a fact that some blms in my ls sub rdm for the main reason that they won't have to use the whm spells. Honestly is casting a poisona/paralyna/protectra really going to friggin kill you!?
