I was thinking this, perhaps play on a "minimal" schedule kind of thing, the one group I don't want to ditch out on is my Nyzul/ENM group so I'd log in for that, but probably kind of skip out on everything else.

That sounds like a better solution, there are many things in the game other than end-game stuff, and there are many things out there other than XI. And you can simply enjoy* them all without much problems.


It's good wanting to do your best and trying to motivate others to do so. But you have to ask yourself if doing "The best of the of the best. Sir!" is really necessary. Or if doing so will get in the way of fun, or if the benefits of doing the best you can posibly do will give you better results than doing enough while enjoying your time spent in x activity.

Because doing less doesn't necessarily mean being lazy. The same way going for the biggest thing might end up giving you deminishing returns in the end.

I'd probably have to say that you should look for another LS, no one should have to put up with that kind of garbage. Frankly I'd probably go postal on anyone who called me "nipples", so I admire your restraint for not D2ing/still healing and not sticking the fool on blacklist.

I'd also say that based on what you've talked about, that the problem probably lies largely with the linkshells that you have been in. For proof, I have played with a number of women, or supposed women I guess I should say >.> in all of the various LS that I have been in. Most of them I'd say like TGM said, played it real, and not a single person in any of those LS had a problem with that, and heck, most times if one of us had a complaint, we all had the same complaint, so it was never a matter of them being all bitchy either.

Women are women, and that means moodswings and all, they should be playing it real. I will have either no, or very little respect for an airhead or someone playing a role that they think will advance their own agenda.

I wouldn't quit the game just yet, not having an outlet for fun and stuff just horribly unbalances your life and it really sucks. I would advise that you at least think about quitting this dynamis shell and doing something that might be more fun to you.

My general advice for endgame stuff is that you will most likely be spending the next year or two doing weekly events with these people. They should all be either people you like and can get along with, or at least not be a huge annoyance to you. And if even one person is a major thorn in the side that you just can't ignore, you'd probably be better off looking for another shell. Or I suppose you could Blist the annoying person.

That person was in my old ls, and a large reason why I left that linkshell. And when I'm talking about him in particular, he considers me to be the biggest bitch on the server because I got so angry about being called such a derogatory name. And not only that, I have a rep. Oh there are more than a few that think the same of me on my server. I was in an ls that had a private forum. There was a thread where people put up pics of themselves. I was asked for a picture of my harley so I put up one. Of course, I don't really take pictures of my harley without me on it so there I was. Well a very immature person started calling me Milf. To me, that is disrespectful and offensive. I know most younger people think its funny but to older people its not. I didn't go off on him but politely asked him to not say that because I found it offensive. Well that was his clue to start doing it constantly and get a few of his creep buddies to do it too.

NO ONE has to put up with being harassed and called names that are offensive to them......NO ONE. You are NOT a bitch. You are a confident independent young woman that is exerting her right to not be harassed. Don't ever put yourself down over other people's inadequacies.

Well I went to Dynamis last night just because I was logged in and I had to go. (If you're found logged in during Dynamis and doing something other than Dynamis, you lose points, and I wasn't into that.) I'd had a good day getting some xp on my (now) 21 Samurai, so I decided that while I could dread it, I'd just go in and do my thing.

Didn't get on vent, didn't really say anything for most of the run, then later felt comfortable enough to join in with some of the joking going on in /l. One person made a dickheadish comment, but I busted his ass with another dickheadish comment right back at him, and that was that. Seriously the whole night kind of felt like at ticking timebomb. :/

I don't know what to do now, I'm more confused than ever. I do think that not getting on vent and keeping my distance is better for now, though.

And Mr. "Got My Hat with a Gimp Subjob" didn't show last night. Go figure. >.<

Also, after the Mega Boss kill (it was Jeuno) they decided to let us just go because we always wipe on that pull anyway. So I hung out AFK in the zone for another 35 minutes and "soloed" Dynamis.

No kidding, I'm a guy and I'd be offended.

And any LS that wouldn't listen to your side of the story, take into consideration the reputation of the people telling them about you, and your LS in general, isn't really one you want to join though, so I don't think I'd take that so much to heart, no matter how irritating it might be.

And gonna agree with TGM 100% there, don't let people walk over you when it's something you object to.

I generally suck, but I suppose I'm a likable enough person. That, and I act as ambiguously homosexual as possible.

And I also suppose my Dynamis Linkshell likes me. Everytime I sign on it's all "Bulletproof Taru returns" and "Sacrifice the Taru Time," and "How many times are we going to get Rena killed today?"

Got my RNG mule Windy clearance last night, just need Jeuno for Glacier access...although halfway through the run my insides got mystery-raped by something and I had to stop playing and go toss some cookies, came back and could barely hold my eyes open. I tried to hold out to at least the point where I ninja the final TE, but after casting Dia on a MNK that I had just slept and then dying to it I figured it'd be best to call it a night.

2nd time since joining this shell that I've gotten insanely sick during a Dynamis run, and both times were Windy. I think it's a sign of something.
