Question Possible to cancel a Trial weapon quest?

About 6 months ago I got my trial weapon staff quest flagged. I never completed it because at the same time I got my gravedigger and I chose to enable the latent the gravedigger. Now I got 241 on sword and I would like to flag the trial weapon sword quest.
I was wondering is it possible to cancel a trial weapon quest? I was thinking of trying to drop my staff of trials and talk to the sword trial NPC.

While I am thinking about it, does anyone know if it is possible to get WS points in Campaign Battles?

I don't think you can cancel them, though I'm not sure what would happen if you drop the trial weapon.

As for breaking latent in Campaign, I doubt it. You can't get skill ups in Campaign so I'd be doubtful you could get WS points in it.

Actually, there's nothing amazing about that, I suppose.

Re: Possible to cancel a Trial weapon quest?

Go back to the NPC that gave you the quest. I think either by talking to him, or giving back the Trial weapon, you can cancel the WS quest.

Aksannyi is right about WS points - you can't get them in Campaign.

Actually, you can get WS points in Campaign. I broke both Trial Knuckles and Destroyers in Campaign. It appears that WS points are not considered skillups.

You won't get any points for doing weaponskills and/or skillchains in Campaign Battles. (confirmed on Odin at 26/01/2008 - 03/02/2008)
Who knows.

Re: Possible to cancel a Trial weapon quest?

I know, because the only place I used my Destroyers was in Campaign, and it took me 2 levels to get them broke.
