What's the stupidest thing you've done in FFXI?

1. Checking the price on a stack of ingots I was about to sell, I failed to pay attention and hit buy and then set the price I wanted to sell at. Then I realized I just bought the stack.


2. Dropped about 30 Imperial Gold Pieces....

I get a new one about once a month but cringe worthy ones off the top of my head

Exping for nearly an hour @1 to level 71, would probably have been longer but one of my static pointed out to me I really should have leveled by then. I beat Maat fine, I just forgot to talk to him afterwards.

Spamming accidentally bought eye drops on myself against imps and getting frustrated with my 'echo drops' for not removing my silence.

I go the wrong way in West Ronfaure almost every single time I go there and I've been playing over a year.

*eyeballed the Reactive Shield for my brand new tanky puppet* Woot! It's only 10k

*diddnt notice that my cat jumped on my down arrow key and bid 10k on the 'shield'*

*runs over to go get the new attachement set in* "You have attached a Scanner!"

*runs back to the AH and buys a Reactive Shield checking the price on a Scanner* Err.... I just bought a 2k item for 10k.... go me...


and.... that shot me from buying any more attachements! :D

Back when I first started playing, I did something that still embarasses me today. LOL I played shortly after JP PS2 release. A very good JP friend sent me a HDD (I had a JP PS2 already) and everything I needed (including a "cheat sheet" in English) for my birthday. The problem was that our playtimes were so different I didn't play much because of that. Well, he introduced me to a couple of his JP friends and whenever he wasn't on they would try to help. One gentleman helped me to get sub job items and told me that I need warp also. Well I didn't totally understand that he meant a warp scroll from the gate guard so I went out and bought the scroll of warp! /sigh I'll never forget the little emotes that he spammed when he realized what I had done and I was SOOOOOOOO embarassed.....still am! LOL
