Alright here we go with one of my best farming areas: Beadeaux. You can get plain rich as a mofro from Beadeaux. I should rap. Gimme a beat... // Main target I would say is Garnet Quadavs. They drop, among many, many things, mauls which NPC for 2.8k each. TH isn't required, but very, very helpful. Garnets litter the top area of the first half of the map (outside, not underground). Don't go passed De'Vyu on the map or you'll enter the higher level area where garnets don't spawn. Just keep making a circle on the top area killing every garnet quadav you lay your eyes on. Besides the mauls, Garnest drop invisible (npc ~900g), silence (npc ~250), reraise (npc ~1800), a few equips that rarely drop but NPC for about 1500-2000g, and a few other items that NPC for less than 200g. On top of these items, quadavs in general drop about 70-100g with gilfinder. After an hour or two, I often found myself with 10k more gil than I entered with just from gil drops alone. Lastly, theres about 4 ooze spawns that give a chance to drop dodge earrings (npc ~1800, AH ~10k) and slime oils. The drop rate on the earring is pretty low but it happens every now and then. It is wise to be probably level 60+ to efficiently kill the garnets as they are WHM mobs who will almost always have blink and stoneskin up, and will cure themselves. MP users bring at least a few echo drops because you DO need to walk past 2 afflictors so you will need to mute yourself. Be warned, most of the quadav spawn in pretty close proximity to other quadavs, so you will get a lot of links. It's not completely uncommon to have a small party of quadav fighting you: Silver (thf), Bronze (pld), GARNET (whm), and Zircon (blm). For this reason, jobs with low Def or HP, or those who cannot provide a means of healing themselves may suffer from small bursts of downtime needed for resting. From personal experience, I've found this is a great spot (re-iterated GREAT) spot for PLDs 65-70+ to farm well. Your DEF will make all the links attacks shitty, you will never really need to rest for HP because of cures, and you will never really need to rest MP because of auto-refresh. You wont be able to kill as fast as a 75drk or 75SAM or 75INSERTDDHERE, but it's pretty much a non-stop farm fest until you tire. It may take you a few trips to get into the swing of it, but I've found this to be one of my most profitable farming areas. Fill your inventory with mauls a few times and you will think so too. I wouldn't be able to recommend this area of it was only for mauls (drop rate is maybe ~20% w/ TH1) but with everything else that drops that will make you rich, Beadeaux is hawt. Finally, the biggest downside to this spot is the possibility of RMT. After a few months of coming here, I noticed 2 RMT characters were starting to monopolize the mobs. After trying to compete with them off and on for sometime, I just gave up till they got banned (only one of em has so far >.>; ). Edits: There are probably other things you can farm in Beadeaux besides these items. That's for you to find out though. ---- My old LS leader would probably be pissed at me for letting this one out. Fuck it tho.

This is kinda funny in regards to this thread. The other night I was running back from The Boyada Tree when I did a quick scan of the area. ![]() 11 out of 14 people were Thfs. The only 3 that were not was The 75 sam on his way to Sky, a Drk skilling up G. Axe on flies and me heading to the outpost warp.

i have a suggestion for the lower level farming as well by doing a fame quest at bastok, this quest can increase your fame and earn some good gilz as well. the quest name is known as gourmet by trading the following item you will get good rewards as well * Sleepshroom: Trade during 18:00-5:59 for 200 gil * Treant Bulb: Trade during 6:00-11:59 for 200 gil * Wild Onion: Trade during 12:00-17:59 for 350 gil |

Hello to all and thank you for such an excellent farming guide. Out of curiosity if the item is RARE, does that mean you can only carry one of them ??? I sorta saw this comment on one of the guide above. What happens if there are 2 of us farming as a party ? Or if the item is already in our Moghouse, can we still get the RARE item again when farming ? Or is the drop rate reduced simply because we have already possess the item in our moghouse ? The reason being that my bf and I love farming NMs for our gils and quite a few of these items are RARE.... lol the thrills of farming NMs...... And yea TH1 is quite useless as we are currently 0/3 on the Night Cape. Also we both thought that it is the EX that means exclusive that indicate that the item can only be carried one but after getting so many lanolin cubes from the rams in La Theine, we figured that it is stackable and EX means that they are EXclusive to the carrier only and not tradeable but sellable to NPC but you can still receive more than one of them. hey all, I notice it's been a long time since a post has been made in the this thread but I just thought that I would suggest farming Wild Onions from goblin thugs in Inner Horutoto Ruins or King Ranparre's Tomb at low levels. These sell for a few k a stack and pretty fast too. Also the drop isn't horrible even w/o TH. ---Llyendar DRG58 ragnarok server |
