If you're going to decide what they should and shouldn't be told about, then at least be less arbitrary about it. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 04-01-2008, 05:54 PM | #47 (permalink) | | Personafied FFXIWiki Team Join Date: May 2006 Location: Windurst Posts: 4,206 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 141 Thanked 1,103x in 614 Posts Gil: 11,798 Bank: 5 Total Gil: 11,803 Donate | Re: Selphiie's FFXI Farming Guide Originally Posted by little ninja | | An thus proving my point. | What point?
Yeah, I can look things up on the AH, too, but fact of the matter is if I farmed based on that, I'd spend hours just finding something to farm. Not only that, I'd have to use FFXIAH (something I'm reluctant to do these days) or log on to lag-tastic FFXIclopedia and look up the NPC values.
This guide does all the legwork, which is why its a guide. People help contribute, making it a bigger asset than it was before. How do you think FFXIAH and FFXIclopedia got to be so useful? Even still, their existance doesn't diminish the value of another resource.
Fact of the matter is you're just complaining because you can, not because your complaint has any substance to it. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 04-01-2008, 06:21 PM | #48 (permalink) | | The S.E.E.S. If you disagree with Selphiie's guide then there are many other sites that act as guides that should be judged the same. Sites like hers' complements FFXI in it's competence as a community game.
And now to contribute to said community.
Not really sure if it is worth the entry since you have bat wings under the repeatable quest "Fear of the dark I" but I farmed these in my lower levels while getting solo exp in King Ranperre's Tomb and Ordelle's Caves. I'm sure there are other places that have a better drop rate. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 04-01-2008, 11:00 PM | #51 (permalink) | | Veteran Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Posts: 1,834 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 5 Thanked 22x in 19 Posts Gil: 14,262 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 14,262 Donate | Re: Selphiie's FFXI Farming Guide Originally Posted by Feba | HAHAHA.

Actually I didn't get much help other then what ever alla had listed when I searched an item. An even then most of it involved leg work to eliminate mobs who didn't drop it and finiding the ones that do. Nowadays most of the things I target for quick cash were things I just stumbled apon while bored waiting fo rfriends to log on or when I was exploring and fighting different mobs. I was aware of most items on the list (it's not too hard to spot RMT )since I've been doing this a couple years but I didn't know about the fishing in Nashumau. I actually went from 32 to 33 with a 12 fish catch ! I think it's a great contribution to the readers here. For the past few weeks I been doin nothing but focusing my efforts on Campaign EXP and Missions, but doing that has took a major chunk out of my savings. I'll be sure to put the information in this guide to good use once I'm ready to make myself some phat lewt.
