The guide is awesome, i didnt know about many of those and thanks to you Selphie i bought a hauby a chivalrous chain and another 400k worth of gear for thf and bst in about 1 week :3

Bird Blood was my first, thats where I made about 300k for a hauby and another 100k for C.Chain in about 20 hours of farming across a span of 4 days, I tried to keep track but eventually lost count of gil/hr but I do know i went there 4 times once per day and stayed there for about 5 hours. Eventually I wanted to try something different, so I did the bats in Zitah for their blood drops... OMG they drop so often... why didnt I know this! D: It was AWESOME but because the bats only pop at night I was starting to crave for something else... I did Ladybugs and made another 100k there more or so but that took a long time... feels like 30% drop rate or so, but because theres so many of them it makes up for that, but yea it got boring after killing 10 or more without any drops, thats a big disappointment.

Then I gave manta skins a try in LoO, drop rate didnt impress me... I was there for about 2 hours and got maybe 5 drops, got more money off the scorpions to be honest :p It was taking me a bit to kill them though, I'm sure if i killed them faster it wouldnt have felt so slow, I was BST60 then, I'm now at 67, maybe at 70 or so it gets better, anyway... then I tried Leshy... Holy crap! It is heavily camped but i got about 2 stacks of mistletoes in a little more than 1 hour, it was crazy and I didnt want to leave, but eventually more people came and I got out of there, went back there the next day and about 10 people were there camping too... that threw me off... so i did buggards in tavnazia, awesome drops, but i think even Bird Blood would be better than the buggards, the good thing though is that you can log in tavnazia too... i walked out with tons of walnuts (1k each) and many expensive logs, made 200k ish in tavnazia.

Last thing I tried was xarcabard, didnt like it, i need to be able to kill the Gigas there faster for it to be worth it, 200g+ a pop was nice though, i got maybe 20k there plus 2 hickory lumbers that sell for another 10k each so technically 40k ish, if i ever sell the lumber

My favorite place is definetly Zitah, even if its camped, theres 50+ spawns of the lesser gaylas bats, enough for everyone, if only they didnt depop in the morning

I havent tried any more of your suggestions but ive been trying to find what works for me on your guide and i've made more money doing that than i have ever made in the past in this ammount of time.

Right now, I'm fishing Nebimonites in the Ferry like the gilsellers do

They are great gilmakers on Ragnarok, 10k a stack and you can easily isolate them in the ferry, but right now im fishing them to make shihei :3

Maybe he means he would not recommend it because it's already over-camped, or possibly because it's a "secret" that he had hoped wouldn't get out? I don't honestly know. It's hard to judge by his one sentence.

This person clearly meant that they themselves were stupid and couldn't understand the language that the guide was employing, and therefore wouldn't feel worthy of passing that on to someone else, for fear of causing misunderstanding.

Honestly, that's a (rather naive) notion I can get behind.

I really like naive notions, they are indeed so fun to "get behind." Like little virginal ideas, ripe little cherries.

It is very useful for allot of the items. There are just things I wouldn't even bother to list because of their terrible drop rates. Not to mention I would add more useful drops and areas before I would certain listed items.

Most of the things listed aren't really overcamped at all on my server. Not to mention what was listed most wont even bother to go after. So if do wish to spend a few hours on a certain drop. I don't really have to worry about other people. Really what the guide has done for some people is to open up their eyes to targeting not only product "A" in a zone, but product "B" as well (beast blood for example).

As for secret camps. Lets just say that Selph hasn't touched base on the majority of places I go.

Actually this guide does nothing more then do 99% of the leg work. Its not hard to surf the A.H to see whats popular and then locating the mob that drosp it. IF theres a list of a few, well then spend some time killing the mobs. Find the one that works and milk it. Then wen you sell check the NPC sale price and then see what the going rate is at the a.H and go from there. Its never been rocket science. Just a huge majority of people who want to info handed to them

Then again thats just me. Of course I am old School FFXI. Back when people were crying about how broke they were or why they couldnt find materials to craft. I was doing the research on the net. An then flooding the market and moving on when it bottomed out or more people caught on.

Ok geeesh, im sorry i wanted to help people by putting out a guide where most of the entrys aren't even made by me, but submitted by other people, and made to help people who have no idea what to farm, have some kind of idea, or atleast get started.

As I like to remind people - Not all servers/linkshells/experiences are the same.

Your milage may vary. I've done very well with Selphiie's guide and its not just because she's my girl. Its because she won't be my sugar-momma. So I have to use her guide instead of bumming gil.

Not that I was in the habit of bumming gil before, I've always gotten along just fine.

I would have to say that almost every aspect of this guide is very helpful. Like Selphiie said it gets clueless ppl going in a good direction. Besides what is a horrible idea on server A might be the best on server B. Thank you Sellphiie and all of those that submit to this. You have saved me many hours of reserching.

Hey if you want I can make it even easier for yo and server jump and do your farming for you.

Selph its a good guide. But this just proves one of the reasons I am not a fan of it.
