Hi,

I am new to this site and started playing FFXI only about a month ago so I am some what new to the game also. I played WoW for about 4 months last year before I got tired of it not going anywhere and the random PvP battles that broke out every 30 seconds. After my brother started play FFXI he pulled me into it and I was instantly hooked. One thing that stands out above all other MMORPG's and
especially WoW is how much community there is in the game and how much nicer people are in general. With in my first week I had a level 70 character come up and help PL me...I was in shock that someone that high up would help a little pion like me, I was only level 6 or 7 at the time. And then you get all the random healing that happens, that took a little getting used to but now I even do it. Its great to see that people care enough about each other to use there sometimes limited MP in keeping others alive. Anyway I am done ranting I just wanted to share what a great community I think I have found...and now that I think about it you guys didn't need to have me tell you about it...*feels really silly now*

Heh...no one cares about anyone but themselves in Wow...I'd be playing but I lack funds currently and I think I have some low-level jobs I wana get back to just as soon as I'm online again...

You'll find that the FFXI community differs GREATLY than that of WoW.

Usually, it's pretty easy finding a niche in this game. You'll make friends that'll last for when you hit 75.
