Pixies
So in WoTG areas you will find these Pixies/Sprites flittering around. Had friends tell me how he was at 700hp (75BLM) and a Pixie cured him to full, while it R3'ed his friend.

After a Raise 3 he suffered no weakness

Anyways, went to do some comical testing:-

I have never engaged with a Pixie or Sprite, so the rumours of shared hate do not apply.

Pulled Gho'Bho Herohunter, which quickly killed me haha. Found a Spirte nearby, and had a friend cast on Sprite, Bind it next to me and log out. After he had logout, Spirte ignored me completely and flittered off.

Tried that a few times, then my friend tractored me around for 15 mins landing me several times directly in front of the Sprite. Did nothing. After giving up, R1, I ran by a Sprite and it didnt heal me.

Anyone know if there are special circumstances in which they will help you, or is it completely random?

Re: Pixies
I've always had a Pixie heal me when I was low HP. For example:
When I first got the expansion, I decided to fight a Pixie in Sarutabaruta on my BRD. It was a very long fight because I only had a staff with me... luckily, another Pixie was in the general area and would Cure IV me quite often (which was needed).
When I was getting one of the maws, I got agro. I had taken a couple hits and (I was on PUP at the time) sent my puppet after it so I could run away. I was at about 5%. I found a pixie and headed toward it, and it Cure IV'd me.

It seems they're cure you if you are at 75% or less. Raise I don't know about, and I don't really want to test that one...

I believe the current theory is that you have to be targeting something with more HP% (including the pixie you want to cure you itself) then you currently have. That method seemed to work for me every time so far.

Re: Pixies
For me, I fought some EP Mob, had about 300/1200 HP and attacked a Pixie. I had Stoneskin & Phalanx & Blink up with plenty of MP. I cast Dia I think, and it then proceeded to bomb me with Cure IV and Cure III to cap out my HP and then tried to beat me into oblivion. I thought, "Sweet! A PL!" So I ran off to fight something else. Well it continued to buff itself like crazy (Pro/Shell III, Haste, etc), but continued to attack me. So after I beat the other mob, I killed it. It didn't cast another Healing spell on me the entire time.

However, a LS mate was trying to get the Jugner Forest [s] Maw, when she got smacked into the ground by a Gnole. She asked for a Raise, somebody was on the way to Raiser her when, "Nvm. Somebody named Sprite just cast R3 on me. Did you guys ask them to do that?"

Yellow health, and they'll cure me every time. There's a delay between cures, and they'll cure the person closest first.

Re: Pixies
I suppose. I'm not sure which comes first, a cure or a raise, but there's definately a weakness with the raise.

Re: Pixies
Hmm. The one experience I had with a pixie was converting during a campaign battle and getting an instant Cure V. That seems to follow with the "must be targeting something" idea. Dunno about raises though.

Re: Pixies
The pixies seem to cure me whether or not I'm targeting something.

For fun and laughs I went out as drg/thf and fought some of the Yagudo in Saratu by Giddeus when I got a nasty link followed shortly by a nasty AoE spells. I used Flee back towards the Allied fort/tower thingy where I had seen 3 pixies floating around, got in the middle of all three and proceeded to fall out of my chair laughing as like, 3-4 Yagudo tried to kill me while I had 3 Pixie powerlevelers Cure VI (or was it IV?) bombing me.

You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be misqouted and then used against you.

Re: Pixies
I've had to follow them around w/ yellow/red health for a minute before they cured me, but when they finally do notice me they drop a Cure V. Nice for Convert :D. I'm not sure if the hate thing is true, I've only killed one ever, and never will again, more because they're a giant PITA to fight than anything. :/
