Re: Pixies
you dont need to target anything for them to cure you. there is a hefty delay on any spells they cast though. just need to be in yellow or lower hp.

Re: Pixies
I'm not sure quite how their detection process works, but I can attest to the fact that it is completely unaffected by Sneak, Invis, or Deodorize (standard way to block Detects Low HP). I was attempting to steal from mobs out in Vunkerl using Rogue's Ring, and keeping the latent on (HP<75%, TP<100%) was proving to be a challenge since pixies would periodically come by and heal me to full. On the other hand, I've been passed by them while dead without notice. Targeting doesn't seem to matter.

Re: Pixies
I've been Cure IV'ed several times. amd Raise III'ed once without being "ignored". On the other hand, yesterday I was tractoring a friend to a Pixie to have it Raise III him, and it passed him twice before deciding to Raise III him.

In both vases, my friend and I had Weakness.

Re: Pixies
I had a Pixie try to Cure V me, but when I died, they ignored me and wandered off. Soon they wandered back (maybe 10 minutes) and Raise III me.

If your dead near a Sprite or Pixie, just stay there for a while, you may get Raised. Give them time to pace around a bit, it's a lot better than taking the hit for xp loss for wandering around. (well for me atleast, I'm not one of those super merit guys)

Re: Pixies
Pixies will not always cast a high-tier cure on you. Depending on how much healing you need they may cast a lower-tier cure spell. One time I had Cure II cast on me by a Sprite, which took me near full. Technically Pixies know how to not waste MP ^^

Re: Pixies
Another vote on not having to target anything, I converted (put myself to yellow), run around pixie a bit, and it cured me. Just gotta wait a bit for it to notice you, I guess.
