My wife just got into FF so her highest char is level 11, and she doesn't even have her sub job. But she is going on and on about how she needs the expansion cause there are things for low level people to do. I can't find any information on exactly what the expansion adds, as the site's I go to that have the info, will not load. trying to make sure she's not just wasting money on an expansion that she may not need for months to come. So I'm asking here. Thansk in advance! |

Huh? I thought it was released already? She was talking about picking it up after work today. And I'm trying to save her money if there is nothing in it for her at this time.

99% of the content will most likely be high level. Only low level that I know about would be Dancer and Scholar jobs which would require one other job to be at least level 30. Released however is another story. It may or may not be available where you are if you're on a PC but even then it doesn't matter since no one can get to the new areas and tell you what's going on until the content goes live, which I believe is supposed to be some time later today. Evening most likely. |

It goes live sometime today, but hasn't yet. Nobody really knows what kind of content, if any, there will be for lower level players yet. If she's going to buy it eventually, and can actually find a copy today, there's not much harm in getting it today. There's no additional monthly fee for expansions, so it'd cost $20 today or $20 two months from now.

No sense in wasting money on something she is not going to use. Especialy since she is not sure she will even be playing in 2 months. I bet she will be, but you can never tell. Thanks for the info. I wasn't looking for exactly what there was, but more of a "is there anything to do for non vets" |

from a developer interview it seems like they are trying to peg the past starting areas as Qufim/Dunes subsutes. I don't have my copy installed yet(it's waiting for me at home) to try to judge the monster levels...

SE has specifically stated that there *will* be low level soloable content involved in this expansion. However that 'low level' content may mean level 10 or it may mean level 30. It's best to wait at least a week to A) see if there's anything worth it for new players and B) let your wife get a little higher up anyway.

Can somebody link to the interview(s) where they say there'll be low level content? I missed that bit of information somehow.
