HD quality WoG trailer now on 360 Marketplace! (plus need help. PS2 or XBox360?

wheeee! Go watch it now!!!! Well basically it's the same trailer but it's very jaw dropping seeing it in HD on a large television set with the sound turned up and stuff. ^_^

its a very well done trailer, fantastic music, and scenes and animations and stuff.

oh ya time to call up stores to see if they'll get it in or maybe only online stores cause I don't think stores in malls order PS2 versions of these FF11 expansions anymore. or maybe they do, well they should. yeah Xbox360 looks better but the font is too small. if I can buy the expansion for Xbox360 without needing the first pack that come out for Xbox360, but then that's like, I wouldn't be able to access Zilart, or TOAU, which I bought for PS2, unless my handle/account remembers I have them, but then again I would still need the disc for that system to have them on the Xbox360 harddrive.

you see I started FF11 on PS2 all the way to TOAU. got a high level character (cancelled but gonna reactivate it next month).

if there's a way to fix the XBox 360 version so the font and windows and resolution is like the PS2 version (I got a standard 4:3 TV), then I might consider getting WoG for Xbox360.

but thing is, I don't wanna have to buy FFXI package that includes Zilart, Promathia, and TOAU (though I like Zilart's areas).

so ya I'm in a bind, Xbox360 version does look quite a bit better. but PS2 version looks decent too. well I read some comparisons and it generally looks the same, simply the Xbox360 version just smoothened some rough jaggies. ah well I might as well just stick with the PS2 version since the system stays cool and takes up less space, plus I wouldn't lose access to the expansions I have for it, and plus probably transferring the account between systems may be too much of a hassle.

I would guess it would be best to reactivate the account at the beginning of November since some people complained SE has been charging them twice for one month. But we'll see.

to play on the 360, when you already have the PS2 version is not that hard

you use the same password and user name, and the only extra thing that has to be done, is linking your live account with your POL one, and the new collection pack will only be like 10 more then the expansion by itself.

Also you can get the PS2 version if you preorder it at places like Gamestop, but I think they will only have what they preoder

and I am not sure what you mean by "fix" ....all you need to do in the options for FFXI is set it to 4:3

huh but would my expansions data carry over? ah you probably mean buying the whole FFXI kit that has the first 3 expansions. but anyways ya thanks for the help. I'm gonna watch the HD trailer again. it looks so good.

it has all + WotG in one pack

and as long as the PS2/360/ or PC has all the expansions installed, you will have access to it when you log in on that system

I've preorded Wings for the PS2 and I know I'm gonna get a copy. THe things is if you don't preorder your chances of getting the PS2 install disk are probabaly very bad! If I had not preorded TAOU I probabaly would not have a copy XD

Sage advice...anyone that's looking to get this expansion should pre-order. Let's face it, we're not talking about Halo 3 here, so the chances of any retailers getting more than 2 copies are slim to none. Do yourself a favor and pre-order...

I recently started working in receiving at my job, so I get my pick of ANYTHING that comes in. I hope and pray we actually are going to carry the WotG expansion, otherwise, I'm prolly dicked until the new Vana'diel collection gets released that includes it.

Back on topic, I would say get it for PS2, unless you're worried about your PS2 taking a dive on you. If you've already got it all for PS2, and don't really care much about the smoother textures, then save the money and buy the expansion for PS2 rather than the whole collection for 360. That's what I would do, anyways...

Actually, what you should do is get a computer and buy the PC version. You can change the graphics settings so it'll be a smooth or jaggly as you want. The few peeps I know that play on the PS2 are always so jealous when they see me playing on my 32" HDTV with the graphics kicked up via the registry edit, it looks so nice ^^. Obviously the most expensive option of all, but seeing the PS2 graphics again recently really made me glad I went the PC route... ^^

ya but PC is too expensive to be worth investing and too much incompatibility/window problems and other technical stuff, IMO.
I'm better off using console, especially since I already got an XBOX360 and PS2 that can run it.

the Bastok Blight seems to prove not only will Dancers be able to massively enfeeble enemies, but possibly cure the status inflictions of their allies, at no MP cost! think of it as a multi-targeting Esuna!!!!! O_O if its true that would be so cool. ^_^

ya. like all jobs, it'll take some leveling to unlock their true potential.

It would be a shame if they end up underpowered/gimped like the Dancers in FFV, but if they are useful like the Dancers in FFT or even better, that would be a plus.

my guess is that they will become a popular (and hopefully powerful) support class. but if their usefulness is overshadowed by existing jobs, then that would be quite a tragedy, especially with the descriptions and historical references pointing out that this job was really feared and respected even on the frontlines.

After playing the PC and 360 versions, I cannot play the PS2 version because the resolution is god awful. Every time I play it my eyes are crying, begging me to stop since they find it to be pure torture.
