200k gil for gear when you're highest level is 37? I'd say the solution is to lower your standards just a tad on what gear you need.

You don't need to have uber gear at each and every level. Find an income source that you're comfortable live, and simply learn to live within your means. It's just like real life.

You just need to find your niche. My niche used to be mining. Back in the days of the inflated economy I could spend 3 hours mining and walk out with 300-400k in fast selling ingots and ores. These days I don't find mining to be worth my time, but I have found my new niche, a nice combination of farming and crafting that yields good profit for the current economy. It takes a few days to sell everything, but I find that I am walking away with about 100k after a couple hours farming followed by an hour of crafting.

I dunno about the BCNMs, they dont usually pay well at the lower levels and its all a matter or luck if the drops are valuable. You might end up spending more for meds and supplies.

Farm honey and beechips in Giddeus. They drop like crazy there.
Farm crab meat. Farm slime oils. Stop xping for awhile and make some gil like the rest of us.

lol no defiantly not 200k for gear, ok realistically just to get by I need 100k-150k for blu 40 equips and nin 30 equips. Other than that an extra 50 would help alot in things like, ninja tools, tele's, just everyday getting around chocobo raising etc etc...

Well my niche used to be grain seeds, back around a year ago when they sold for 30-40k, I could farm for a couple hours and make enough money to last me from 1-20 at least with left over for other activities. >.> Now that they only sell for 2-5k im broke 24/7 ; ;. I know it is all a bit relative since gear prices have dropped but seriously, things like bee chips, grain seeds, have dropped considerable more than equips have. Anyways Thanks for the help, everyone, ill try to find which one works best for me lol. Main thing is I got some idea's to try now lol.

Is there a lot of overlapping gear between what you need for 40 BLU and 30 NIN? If not, I'd suggest focusing on NIN first, get that up to 37, sell the NIN-only gear, and then go back to BLU (I imagine the main reason you are leveling NIN is to use it as a subjob for BLU).

Hopefully, that approach decreases the amount of gil you need to have invested in gear for the present. Until you get gear that will last you through endgame, you can think of it as renting it from the AH. You buy it, use it, and then sell it back for hopefully close to what you paid. And then you invest that gil into the gear you need for a different job.

I used to make my money selling conquest points items, though since I'm currently Lastokan (and leveling in AU areas) there hasn't been much to profit off of. I would advise looking in your CP buyables to see if anything there makes some decent gil that you wouldn't mind dropping some CP on.

Also, if you are from Bastok, the Centurion's gear is pretty damn good for a lot of jobs in your 30's, and leveling a few jobs through the dunes should net you enough CP to buy at least a few parts of the set. Pretty much all of my melee jobs can and will be sustained on mostly Centurion's armor with a few supplements for extra STR, DEX, AGI or whatnot.

Making gil is harder now, there's no arguing that. Sometimes I find (sadly) that NPCing something gets me more gil than AHing it. It takes a lot of time to discover what makes money and what doesn't anymore. Lately, I've resorted to tele-taxi services, when RMT aren't monopolizing the market.

Another thing I've noticed is that some of the drops from the CoP-based ENMs leading up to (and including) Ouryu v2 and Bahamut v2 are EXTREMELY valuable. Stuff like Damascene Cloth, Molybdenum Ore, Blau Dolch, Behemoth Hide etc.. Plus you can get a Cloud Evoker or Monarch Orb drop and have some fun with those too.

They probably have people pay them to camp it for them. You hang out in the Castle with them, they get claim and get you the drop, you give them the gil.

If you control the pop, you can still charge for access to it. Sucks, but it's nothing new.
