oh ya! I hardly noticed that. :D But ya, it sure will be interesting and overwhelming like hearing new music in Sgustaberg and common zones like that.

oh yeah I also wonder what mobs SGustaberg will have. I guess there will be more quadavs hanging around, but with heavier gear or something. not sure if worms, bats, wasps and birds will still be present, but maybe not, most likely new species will be introduced too. Also the terrain will be vastly different. Oh yeah I wonder if the weather will get an overhaul too. Like imagine the highlands not having any dust storms or thunderstorms but probably just rain or something.

That's my main gripe with battle music. The new battle music is always for party only. If I'm soloing in a different area, I should be able to listen to that area's party battle music.

Edit: Thanks Mal, I wanted to use the animated one where Bartz is casting Spellblade but the system wouldn't allow me.

If Square-Enix, however, paid as much attention to the balance of their Tanking Jobs as thier Damage-Dealing Jobs, then far more choices would appear.

The point I'm making? Tanking is just as bland as Damage-Dealing, and the players just as biased: if one melee Damage Dealer was the clear superior to all the seemingly numerous others . . . you know what, I take that back: the others would still be Damage-Dealers, but that's only because they can't do anything else. They're pretty much out of a job, though, because if you can't do anything else, you can only Deal-Damage. I guess that's why balancing Damage-Dealer jobs is so important.

But, ignore that one tangent, and know that there are only two Tanking jobs because the playerbase made it so: that is my point above all else.

Is WotG gonna have any tie-ins with the old expansions? The fact I haven't even started on ANY of them leads me to believe I'm going to have to avoid this expansion until I finish the others to avoid spoilers and such. -w-;

I'm was sort of hoping for this to be my actual first "expansion" so I can sport around with a sig; Zilart: 0/0, CoP: 0/0, ToAU: 0/0, WotG: Complete!

wings will deal with RoTZ CoP and ToAU.

Remember Zilart areas will bve referenced to, because the happy ant olk were involveed in the war. the Empire refused to help so they will get mentioning. And the main battle (aka the one in FFXI's intro) took place in a CoP zone so yeah, they will all be tied together for the first time.

but like Mal did say. We have been told the expansion deals with the plain 30 zones we started with, and a couple new ones. I am thinking bornder Taz zones may be new, seeing as the area was destroyed and that would account for other things we have been told.

Why were you guys saying we don't need a new tank? I suppose it's not necessary, but seeing as there are 3 of everything, there should be three tanks. And I understand that WAR can tank(a lot of them are just rampagemonkeys though), and I understand that SAM can almost tank, and /nin they can, if they can get off enough ws's.

But a tank is needed for all the sheeple that don't believe those two jobs can tank, and won't party with them. And it'd be nice to have a job that's defined as a tank, just to know that we get a job that was made to protect the party. And in a new way, somewhat like the Geomancer outlined in another thread.

I think it'd be awesome to get another tank, although I suppose we don't NEED one.
