It was one of the first (if not the first) site listed on Google when doing a search for "FFXI" right before beta was announced (remember reading something on one of those crappy gamer sites about FFXI). Decided "What the hey" and clicked and started reading.

I remember my first post asking if BLM/THF was an ok combo (cause it had such a high INT stat

). Jei answered saying it was decent for farming but not very good for PT and events. I don't remember much other than him saying something about RDM. His post made a good initial impression on me and I've stuck around every since.

Yes, something about a job combo being good for farming but not much else, and possibly something about RDM is also what kept me here initially.

I've been around since the JP imported days.
When at first FFXI came out on JP PS2, I was so excited to play. Not until the JP PC version came out that I finally had a chance to play. And immediately I found this site with a small community of importers.

Back in my n00b days, I posted asking where to find distril water xD
I didn't really browse NPC shops back at that time, because I couldn't read item names.

Can't really explain why, but I'm still here after I quit.

I actually like this community for a few reasons. Less trolls. See the same people posting a lot so you kinda get to know them. Also I like the layout.
