I have plants in my mog house waiting to be checked on!! I sincerely hope they're not going to be wilted again for the 2nd time either!! How long is this darn thing going to last?! I shall be quite annoyed if I find my plants have wilted when I get back to them!! 
Ill check up at 9pm. (my time - GMT) I hope the servers are back up and running by then! /sigh!

I've left mine for about 36 hours (when I go out of town overnight for school) without consequence, and they were fine. Probably close to death but not quite there.

Bit late in replying, (nevermind) but I found my plants to be fine in the end when I got back on after the maintenance work, so I'm glad I had little to worry about. I like to check up on my chocobo everyday too, (for the choco raising thing) and that was fine.

So I'm going to find myself a pt soon.
Apart from that... is there any way of knowing beforehand when SE are going to start maintenance for everytime they do? At least it will give me a little bit of time to think about things before they do. Do they have one like every 2 or 3 weeks or some such?
