LOL, no BS. I did research a bit before we did it, including reading Necropolis's description of the fight in this very thread (thx Necropolis ). Some of my party members (was a pickup party) had tried it a few times, so they had a few ideas too. The two most important things to have are a stunner and a good balance of melee and mage, just like a good old fashioned exp party, not a meripo.

It's only not hard if you happen to have the luck of a LS full of good players who didn't go the "Sod doing ToAU till we see the rewards" route.

One of 3 rings, they are ok by themselves, nothing good there, but in assult they can become very good.

You also get a ToAU Flag, no news on that really, and the Glory crown, yes WE get oen no mroe naja theivery.

Glory crown at this moment doesn't have any stats that anyone has discovered.

The Ranged ring has assult Sharp shot enhanced. So pretty much COR/RNG (Yes, Please) item's ion this update, allong with steel bullets, cor bullets ect. SE wan't us to be trigger happy, just wish they would up our natural skills a little -.-

Yes now that we've had the +1 STR = +1 ATK etc update for 2-handers, maybe we might see a +1 AGI = +1 RACC for those of us who use Ranged Attacks as our main form of offence.^^

Am about to do this fight tonight and I'm not confident. I like a fight that requires a good strategy, but having to co-ordinate everything with pickup parties can be a nightmare.

Anyone tried fighting Alexander with Light Carol?

We had light carol, but it only gave 40 resistance and so Radial Sacrament still kept doing the full 450 every time...

I think people were saying that Radial Sacrament, though looks like Light damage, is actually physical. Can't really confirm it myself.

This is where my idea for Gallant's roll comes in, if these attacks are all physical then there's a chance to reflect it. Giving the PLD and DD Gallants and the DD Chaos there may be a crap load of constant reflected damage, I'm trying to find someones who has made logs of this fight (the final bit) to do some rough numbers for the dmg a pld could take, average roll numbers of lucky and 7-11.

Once I got that, if tis res[ppectable compared to a DD's damage, might be able to justify doing this fight as COR, PLD rest mages.

Sorry I cant be more help but I was 1/1 on this last night. We had PLD WAR MNK BLM BRD RDM(me). The BLU was the hardest and that's only because we lost the tank on his second form. He WS then the second guy did a holy 3 or something and knocked him out. Then me and the BLM nuked down his second form.

The final guy was cake. Had the PLD stand out of melee range and main heal him self for hate while the MNK and WAR beet on his ass. He did the OMEGA move 2 times durning the fight and both melees came through it with over 300 HP (both were galka). PLD ended up dieing again half way through him so the melees tanked. Perfect Defence was poped at 1% as soon as it came off we wone.

This fight was the hardest fight of ToAU, but after being through Zilart and CoP it still felt like a cake walk.
