Hm, Anniversary... I started in summer of 04 I believe, so about 3 years? Feels too short, I was saying 3 years last year... Man, that was awhile ago. Things have changed a ton. Hard to believe FFXI is as old as it is, still looks better than 90% of the MMOs being released nowadays.

OK basically there isnt too much that was annouced in any of the info on the pages alot of it was just about events. They do keep hinting to a very rare item, no true info has been said about it other then a .01% chance to get it. The ring that has caught everyones' eye, is suppodly from what people have gathered a serv wide gift for the 5th birthday of ffxi, and has no ties to the japanese only event. Free 30k exp anyone? And btw the bable fish was very accurate on the translations btw.

That would be Curilla and Volker, the female elvaan with the eye problem in chateau, you do some quest for her in Yughott, and Volker is bastok's hero.


Although I do admit I find calling the hero of bastok a fucker both accurate and hilarious. He's not too bad though, it's Trion that's a pain to kill.

Heh, you feel the same away about Volker too? Well it sure runs in his family, lol. Trion will put up a fight considering how alsome he was in 9-2 @.@; Though... getting a chance to punt Shantotto would be sweet.

Just for reference, if any of you are going to this heroes combat event, kill Ajido, then Volker, then Trion. Definitely take Ajido first, he's squishey, but his spells hurt. A lot.

I'm really curious how much longer FFXI will last, I mean it still has what? 700,000 players?

Thats significantly more then a lot of them out there.
