I use a router (not wireless). I've lost connection a couple times when my router gets confused and tries to assign the same IP address to my Xbox and computer. Kinda annoying, but resetting the router solves the problem.

My networks looks like this:

Hub ----------{}---Router----Hub
Laptop----/ \--PS2

Wireless to Router - DS, Wii

I was on my 360 and laptop at the same time while playing FFXI/surfing net w/ no problem.
