hey,

is there anyway i can increase the general resolution of the game and not just the background.

all the chat and everything is so big and on the screen all my stuff is well inside the frame of the screen like the status spells like signet.

is there anyway that i can get them to the outside through increasing the resolution?

Depends on the version of FFXI you're playing.

- If you're playing the PS2 version, then I'm pretty sure there's nothing you can do (same goes if you're playing FFXI on a PS3).

- I'm pretty sure the Xbox 360 version is similar to the PS2 with respect to resolution changes, though from what I've seen the 360 version runs at a much higher native resolution than the PS2 version (someone with the 360 version please correct me if I'm wrong on this as I've not seen the 360 actually running FFXI first-hand).

- On a PC you can use the FFXI Config tool (Start > Programs > PlayOnline > Final Fantasy XI > Final Fantasy XI Config) to set your screen resolution under the Screen Size tab. Click the pic to see what I'm talking about:
