I had a Logitech Rumblepad 2 and it was great for a while. After a while though the calibration just went wacky though and nothing seemed to fix it. My wife got a USB->Playstation2 adapter for her pc and it worked great. I went out and got one as well and have had no issues with it. FFXI was set up for the PS2 controller after all so the transition is almost seamless.
