Home Point setting trick.
This may be already well known, but I just discovered it today, and if at leats one person didn't know it, then I've done my job.

I have always thought when you set your HP that when you die/warp, you always end up at that HP, like a telepoint. However, today I discovered that when you set your HP the game actually saves your position, I.E. if your facing west on the east side of the HP and you warp, you will be in that exact same spot, looking at the HP. If your looking north, you will be looking north. If you somehow manage to set your HP on a ledge above it or something, when you warp you will be on that ledge.

This is useful for me in Aht Urghan, because the HP there is set up so that it you set it without thinking, and you run forward after you warp, you'll end up at the closed Imperial Gate, on the opposite side of the AH and MH. If you take time to set the right direction though, you can run to the AH without thinking.

Re: Home Point setting trick.
I used this trick for a while when I was levelling Woodworking hard-core. Saved some time by setting my HP in Port San d'Oria facing towards the zoneline (which is moments away from the Carpenter's Guild).

Re: Home Point setting trick.
Yep. Hackers use it to set their HP wherever they want, like AH or a zoneline.

Re: Home Point setting trick.
nope, it's actually not hard to do at all. Of course, i'm not giving instructions.

And yes, I actually have times were I debate about my choice in leaving BLM *JUST BECAUSE* of warp.

Re: Home Point setting trick.
I ran into this behavior in Kazham. I had "fallen" through the wood floor and was running around in the grass waiting for a GM to reposition me and decided I'd set my HP so I wouldn't have to do it later. After Leviathan killed me in a mini-avatar battle, I repopped out-of-bounds and had to GM call again.

Re: Home Point setting trick.
That's why I carry multiple Warp Cudgels. But yeah, 100mp is still cheaper.
