I've been a gamer for as long as I can remember. I've played Atari and Intellivision, but quickly switched over to the NES when it was released. I'm quite the Nintendo fanboy, only purchasing a Playstation when all the RPG makers jumped ship after FF7 was such a success, and supporting Sega until the Sega CD died, then supporting the Dreamcast (I thought it'd last, unlike the Saturn and 32X).
This is my first serious MMORPG (I played briefly, but didn't enjoy Diablo 2 online). I never liked what I saw of the 'other' MMORPGs, because... I dunno, I guess I've played too many Japanese Console RPGs to like the style, you know? Most Computer RPGs have the elves with the cheekbones so high you can slice a tomato off of them? Skin stretched so tight, it looks like their skulls are about to burst? Men that always look like they're 300 lbs (in muscle of course) heavier than the stockiest of the women characters? Finally, the color schemes are always, ALWAYS, either the 'brown and black' oh noes the Darky Mcdarkness will swallow us all, hopeless macabre darkness style, or "PRIMARY COLORS! = YES!" .
So when FFXI came around, I was excited. Final Fantasy games are always a plus with me. I could pick what, in my console gamer mind, was a normal looking character. Finally, the color scheme. Final Fantasy has actual every day colors, you know? It's not 'suck your happiness from your very marrow' dingy brown and blacks, and it's not 'WE ONLY HAVE 16 COLORS!" bright either. It's a more realistic, down to earth set. The storyline's good, and I'm overall happy playing ^^

LS's average physical age is about 20. Mental: 16. To say the least, I don't get along to well with them.
