That's true. I only have them all (except Water, should pick that up one day) because of leveling BLM.

Since no one magic bursts anymore you really only need Light, Dark, Earth, Wind and Ice.

Jobs that have a lot of consumables (NIN, RNG, COR, WAR/NIN) or swap a lot of gear (RDM, BRD) are some of the most desirable jobs in the game. Just a strange coincidence for the most part.

BTW if you're pressed for space, 3 slots are a lot

Yup, I agree, 3 spaces is a lot when you are pressed, what I meant by wooty woot (as if you didnt know!) was its not anywhere like the fix I am hoping for.

So the majority population go with jobs that arent consumable based of have loads gear swaps, how does that balance out with me being pressed for space? I shouldnt have to suffer from lack of space just becuase I happened to have leveled a popular party job.

first of all wtf u need 2 brds for, thats overrated, i do better with just 1 and 4x dmg dealers mnks/wars/nins and 1x rdm. and what does main healing have to do with self respect? im not going to tell you where i xp cause everyone will go there, but trust me i do about 30k an hour give or take if there arent people camping on top of me. and i dont see what you see in 2x brd pts. waste of a dmg slot to me. so how are you going to tell me what i need when i already do this. just cause you cant do it, you try to say it cant be done, when the reality of the matter is, you just cant do it. and why dont you do tp burns? i dont see any self respect in that.

Correlation != Causation. You are not popular because of gear swaps. Just happens that the popular jobs have this problem.

Everything has it's trade offs. You could go with a job that doesn't have as much gear to swap, but currently those jobs are not as popular so you'll merit just a little slower. Stick with RDM and you'll merit faster, but you'll have to deal with lots of gear swaps.

yea it actually kind of sucks, cause i run a sky/hnm linkshell, and i am rdm and ninja, so i have a total of 6 item slots open at any given time, and ninja gear alone puts me at 55/60 so i have no room for sky pop items, or anything which is pretty rediculous, and now they add these grips. so i couldnt even lvl another job if i wanted to. they need to add more gobbie bags and safe upgrades

i have been there done that 2x bard pt, and they arent all they are cracked up to be. ever hear of abbrevation? or slang? figures your from the UK. most xp i ever got is from 1x brd 1xrdm 4xwar. i have done 2x bard a million times. and that 1x war with good equip does the job.

You've obviously never had a dual brd party, they completly own for merits. You've obviously havn't seen a well geared bard either, otherwise you'd count them as a DD as well. Not Ridill/Black Belt quality, but parse well against Thfs, Drg and many other DD jobs if done right.

aye I have 2 sets of gear on war almost as well as 2 stacks of toolbags of shi, 1-2 cracked open as well as food etc. Being able to do multiple things good is what makes the jobs work well.

You have the lack of space due to your job being popular. Follow my point on this ok hong I know you and most of the rdms will.

Rdm is a popular job because they can do many things very well. This leads to having to carry multiple gear sets to preform at the peak of your ability. So the more things your job can do well the more gear you have to carry if you take pride in your job. Understand what I am trying to say?

2 brds with 3 good melee will out do you 1 brd 4 melee party. With double march double min haste spell, I am almost non stop attacking with man-joy popping off ws very often. Main healing (doing it well) is self respect taking pride in your job, your new here so just a small tip again, don't fuk with ask or any of the nice posters here. She doesn't enjoy main healing as rdm in tp burns so she has enough self respect to not suck up to get merits.

Self Respect is knowing oneself and not losing your own beliefs to go with the now. 6 open slots = 3 pop sets
You only need to carry the pop items you are going to use.
Grips are good they provide a bonus where needed, just because you don't like them doesn't mean they are an issue.

what do you mean 30k eyeballing it. when the party starts i track time and how much xp we got, and when we end. very simple. i have been playing this game since it came out. how long have you had it? so if you think a bard should dd in a pt, you sound like a noob to me, bet you would melee your rdm in a xp also, you probably havent even beaten sea, i would be surprised if you even have sky.
