Just 2 days back to the game and I'm already a witness to shame tonight in Campaign...

I'm confused by this image. A SMN/SCH and a PLD/DNC are on a Campaign Orc. The SMN was tanking cause the PLD wouldn't hold hate for even a second to let her summon an avatar...or doing much of anything really. I know it's just a game, nothing to take personally, but I really would feel ashamed of myself if I was that PLD.

I'm not talking about the ones from my old ls, mind you, but the ones from the rival linkshells that made camping kings a daily dose of lulz.

I think most plds use campaign to take a break from the tanking (me being one) though i would tank if the mobs were beating on a mage or a job i know wont take the hits so well.

Kind of like us WHMs would go to campaign and not worry too heavily about keeping everyone in the vicinity alive as though it were Dynamis or something. On the rare occasions that I actually wasted my time with campaign. XD

I dont bother campaigning anymore myself, dunno why it's a great way to get the buffer back up without a party. Last time i was tanking in a exp party i had to stop because my eyes wouldnt stop spinning i wasnt use to it on pld anymore @.@

Guess i should get back into the parties again not like i'm a bad pld anyway lol

FoV is better and faster I've found for my tastes, when it comes to getting a buffer.

Usually if I needed a buffer on a job and we were going to camp Turtle, I'd go to the camp on that job. We'd do FoV between intervals. And if we weren't camping Turtle (which was often the case, doesn't drop shit we needed) soloing puddings on BLM was faster and doing some FoV in Terrigan was better for my WHM, and RDM and SMN were almost never played in situations where I was likely to die, so I never needed to bother buffering those jobs.

I suppose that could make sense, on the first part, but I'd be embarassed if I was on the same mob as a SMN and it was the SMN struggling to stay alive.

I'm different though, I go to Campaign because, on my jobs (RDM or BST), I normally don't get to tank on other things. I reallly oughta just level PLD, since I clearly would enjoy it a lot. I go RDM/PLD and BST/PLD and practically play a fake PLD on both counts.

My rant from last night:

I'm very behind on CoP, was doing 2-3 (minotaur fight) Saw a shout for it in WG, came as SMN, all was well. We killed the minotaur in like 20 seconds (with 4 smn AF + pld) and made our way to the iron gate. Oh noes, we had to kill a fomor for a bronze key. No biggie, we head back and i d/c. I can't get back on, for hours. I spawn back in Phomonia Aqueducts, alone. I'm like wtf, half this mission done and now I gotta redo. Fast forward to later that night, ala 2AM. Form a new group, half LS, half pickup ppl. We blow through it till the end, I click on ??? and walk through WRONG DOOR, fall down trap door.

Mission hosed twice in a row. It's now almost 4AM and everyone is done.

I have to go through this all over again. Epic fail. /slap

I can do them in my head, on paper, or have this lil program keep very good track of what the hell I should be paying attention to whilst keeping track of pt chat, ls chat... aggro... etc...

Alot of my troubles aren't getting the casket solved, that was just 1 moment of error. Getting the casket to even pop in this ridiculous soon is the most difficult part >_<
