People who /tell you when you are the leader if you need X job.

That is so annoying, and its been teh same person for the past few times as well. This one summoner keeps sending me tells...

Gah! So annoying when peopel send you a /tel when you are a leader. If you are looking for a party, or want to join one so badly, make your own! Its even worse when some one 10 levels below your current level sync sends you a tell liek that! Gah! I just want to rip their heads off when they do that.

If you want a party so badly to ask if they have any room, go make a damn party!

While on the subject...

People who invite you to join a lvl 45 sync party, but they them selves are lvl 30! I get to camp, and they sync to your lvl, and you see some one in your party thats lvl 30, yet every one else is 45... People suck... Or maybe is bc I'm in a bad mood atm lol

I've got a funny story about that, actually. After having been WHM and learning that having a vestigal party from having tele-taxied someone reduced the number of blind tells I got, I was BLM one day like that, to level my subjob. Then someone sent a /tell asking to join my party. {/facepalm}

And as for FoV reraise, it annoys me both with people who don't take it even after multiple deaths (for which someone has to desync to raise, losing his own buffs), and it also annoys me when the leader keeps turning off sync just to walk back to the manual. Doubly so when we're in the dunes and nothing is going to suddenly wipe us out as we walk by... and I have FoV refresh on to go with my /WHM, which is somewhat awesome at that level. It only made it worse that the SAM party leader was part of my LS.

I find it more annoying when a party blatantly lies about the level they they are syncing to then bitches at you over /tell for leaving the party because they're too lazy to read your search comment.

Cuz they probably expect you to have a heart and not ditch the party cuz they lied. Yeah we see where that is a logical thought

Thats why I make 95% of all my parties, except for the fact that I don't like waiting 1-2 hours lfg lol.

Impossible to run away form melee mobs...they hit you with their feet/fangs/hands/claws/etc from miles away...
yet, if a monster is running away from you or you are trying to hit a mob that is WALKING RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU, you either have to wait till it stops moving or pull a long range or magic attack on him to stop him -_-

If you draw your weapon, and run infront of the monster a little bit, you will attack it while it is moving. Its due to server latency or something like that. I found it out while I was just fooling around.

Un lock from teh monster, then run infront of it, and you will strike it.

If I can't rely on a party to tell me the truth as where we are going to XP and what level we're syncing to then how can I rely on them to keep my PLD healed or keep the hate off my WHM or COR?

FoV in Western Altep... what a absolute stoooooooopid idea of mine. Last time I was several levels over the page I attempted... Cactuars and Beetles, if I remember right. Well the 1st Cactuar 1000 Needled and full HP suddenly was the furthest thing from... .. . then resting while weakend another damn Cactuar found me and decided to 1000 Needle my arse... /sigh. So .. I decided to go back with a my 64 Sam and started the Secutor/Lanista page... killed my quota of Secutors; but, then on my 1st Lanista, the thing hit me with a Freeze spell that one-shotted me from like 800HP.. WTF !?!?!?!? So... I attempt another and barely survive... these ants are not for me.

I usually have no problem fighting those things on WHM/SCH or PLD/WHM. They actually go down really quickly. And to be fair if you stick around instead of running when something casts AM on you you deserve to get nuked for 800+

Both issues are due to lag. When chasing a mob, serverside, you're actually farther from it than what your screen shows. When running away, the mob is actually closer to you than what you're seeing on screen.

As has been pointed out, issue 1 can be remedied by unlocking and aiming for in front of the mob. Issue 2...mobs run at the same speed as you. You'll never outrun anything unless the mob stops to perform ranged attacks or cast spells, or you can delay it by forcing it to go around environmental obstacles. I think only a handful of NMs move slower than a normal player.

Slightly related, there's some strange bug with /attack that I've been experiencing a lot more lately. I target a mob, select attack from the menu, then I can be standing right behind the stopped mob and I'm still "too far away". Then I have to disengage, untarget, and try again, and sometimes even that's not enough. Once my Sneak Attack wore off while I was fucking around trying to attack a gobbie.

People. Myself included. I basically screwed up a Royal Jelly run (on my own orb ><; ) and the other two people had to be jerks about it. One of them had it stuck in her mind that two Paladins don't have enough damage output to win, and I basically failed to convince her otherwise (read: she rubbed my failure in my face), and the other, in spite of the fact that I specifically brought him because he said he needed Utsusemi: Ni and Phalanx to use, decided to basically be a royal jerk to me the entire time, and it only got infinitely worse after the run (he actually told me that I would have to pay him 50k that I didn't have if I failed again; if I'm going to offer collateral, at least make it something I have ><; why do you think I'm doing the dang BC in the first place?).

But, yeah, I failed hard on that one, and pretty much guaranteed that I wouldn't have a second chance with those two.
