Recast Macro?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows how to do this. There have been several videos where i have seen a list of recast timers for someones JA's pop up as echos on their chat logs from time to time. Is there a macro command to do this? Or is it perhaps a function of windower? Something else? If I missed a thread obviously explaining this can you point me in the right direction? Thanks.

/recast "<Spell or Ability>"

i.e.
/recast "Convert"
/recast "Raise III"
/recast "Utsusemi: Ni"
etc.

open up a blank macro slot on your macro bar.
on each line put what you want to know the recast time on for example


/recast Refresh

you can use all six lines for spells example

/recast Refresh
/recast Stoneskin
/recast Phalanx

you only need to put the spell in quotes if it has more than one word, but it is a good habit to use quotes around spells all the time to get used to it and avoid errors in others

the above will echo it and no one else will see
