What I really don't get is why trying to justify a violation of something you sign up every time? THere are not "good moments" or "bad moments" to use a hack. It's the attitude that I don't like. If you say "I don't care as long as it doesn't affect me" then I don't think you should report someone else that wins a claim over you with botting....

I agree completely. I have my own theories on why the OP decided to do this, but they aren't really appropriate here, or really relevant to the conversation.

Regardless, I believe that a cheat is a cheat, no matter what purpose you happen to be using it for. And no player, no matter how helpful they are trying to be is in the right for downloading and "trying them out".

Since i did not use the hack or try it. I just saying that this thread should not even started. But you are the one who is defending it since you are the obvious reason of it. Or maybe you aleady did that now because someone caught you and you make up this thread to give an excuse to yourself and hope that person saw this and wount report what you did. I wish someone report you using hack frm your server and get you ban lol. Then you will forever learn your lesson

The hypocrasy comes when you say i'm obbsessing over rep, and you make 3-4 posts complaining about some suggestions I made concerning it.

Because it's so much more logical that i'd use hacking programs frequently, then magically get caught one day by someone who HAPPENS to read ffxionline, than that I had a curiousity, and shared info with others.

What lesson? That Third-Party programs are against the rules of Final Fantasy XI? Wow, news to me.

If a GM banned me (which is also highly unlikely), then I probably wouldn't care too much.
