The absolute last thing you want being posted as a comment about you when you're looking to do end-game activities is: "Sucks as a player. No skills. Can't do the job right. Dangerous to party members."

How do I know this happens? My HNMLS votes for every member who wants to join, and we discuss every potential member in detail, and bring up any past experiences our members have had with them.

Same with my LS and we also talk to other HNM's about some apps. Word gets around in endgame and if you earn a rep, kiss getting a good ls. You might get into an engame LS but it won't be a very good one.

Also I've known people that have sold their accounts, waited a couple of weeks, and then called SE to report that their cancelled account had been reactivated against their wishes. POOF, character never to be seen again in game. So go ahead and buy one if you feel like taking the chance of throwing your money away.

Just last night, a level 44 PLD was saying how we should pull a whole bunch of quads in Palborough to "speed up getting Kazham key to drop" and demanded my WHM friend -ga them to death.

He pulled when my WHM friend didn't have MP.

Seriously, what the hell. I also looked up this PLD later on search and he had another job in the high 60s. OMGWTF

The last time it happened to me was with a BLM in Boyahda Tree. We XP'd with this clown for almost an hour. He hit one magic burst, total, off Distortion skillchain... in one hour. And the spell he burst with? Frost. Random casts of Sleep in the middle of fights.

alright i just wanna talk abt this 2 points in here.
mbing with ancient spell is sort of mean your blm has skill to time his nuke agaist your ws timing order. Not saying he has it since he only mb once out of one hour.
But sometimes i like to mb with ancient magic when my mp is full although it may cost me more mp then to use ga3 etc. random cast of sleep can help too, sleeping mob = like stunning monster from doing something. those random sleep may stop some kind of magic or moves. Of course the person need to worry about his hate level of doing that specially a blm since i mostly get hate from mb from skillchain. so doing that more will only make the chances of dying higher.
A lot of people who dont get hate much dont cast sleep trying to stop moves or random sleep. As long as u dont took over the hate frm the tank by doing this and the mp allow it, its really good to do it even if its random cast.

Edited: Mistook frost as freeze. And pls take note i am not saying this blm is normal or good. But bad. just sharing some tips on blm on the 2 line of reply from that post.

even if that blm really MB with an ancient, what good is 1 single MB the entire 3 hours do? It just shows the skill of the player.
I miss MB here and there too, but mostly because I was in the middle of casting something else.

Bio a slept link was very, very bad.

I actually PT with a newbie Japanese Whm level 68 very recently... he stood with the melee even with a BRD ina group so he was missing all the Ballad, and everytime there's a link, he Dia it -.- Also goes AFK every 10 minutes for at least 5 minutes. Very annoying...

iirc frost is the elemental debuff... freeze is the ancient magic. MBing a debuff willl get it to stick better but the blm really shouldn't be focusing on that too much on a MB. It's a way to spike some damage out, while your melees also have a hate spike to hold it off you from their weapon skills.

When my static PT got to lvl 40-41.. it was time for AF1 questing... our WHM was already a lvl 70MNK, so she was our help. She came across a 64WHM, who was where you kill the NM for the WHM AF1. She was there getting hers, and that's how she met him. He asked if we can help him, and we invited him. That alone brought up a red flag.

He then got pissy because we went to do my quest for NIN, and started calling us names because he assumed we would only help him and only him.

That's pretty sad. Not only is AF1 a great weapon for WHM between 41 and 51, but I can't imagine not using the rest of the WHM AF as soon as it's available. There's really not much better out there for WHM at that level, not to mention it's totally free. :/
