Well, people thought EQ2 would be the death of original EQ, but it's been anything but. A lot of folks really love their first MMO, and I suspect that would happen a lot with our players too. Not that I wouldn't check out a new SE MMO. I'm just saying.

What would raising the lvl cap do to the endgame activitys? would all the god/hmn/dynamis fights be lvl capd or would the just increase the lvl of the monsters? Andways if they did raise the lvl cap /rdm would be over popular with mages, and posibly screw over rdm and somewhat brd and cor. plus knowing SE they will make it a HUGE amount of xp for those lvls and i find getting to 75 a pain already. What i would like to see is more low lvl capd activitys so you can do stuff with your lvl 30 whatever job that you like but dont want to take it to 75- to have fun other than grind with it. AF corection would be nice, half of it is kind of useless. Fixing of notorious monsters so you dont have to save up gil forever to get those monopolized drops. new game engine would be nice but will never happen. new areas and jobs are always bonuses but i dont realy need anymore atm. i would realy like a better system to store items then mules or atleast make items easaly transferable other than sending items 8 at a time. |

I'll agree with you there. EQ2 really does suck terribly. I joined it at launch, and it was painfully boring. I hear the new changes aren't bad, but that doesn't mean I'm going to pick it up again.

Chocobo in Selbina/Mhuara would be good. When people go to level in Valkurm (level elsewhere you say? Only works if you're in a set, sorry.), it is always a bitch when people don't set thier home point and they die and there are no raises. I've ditched parties/booted people because I didn't want to wait around for a raise, because thier lazy ass didn't want to set thier home point. But they do this because it is a pain to get out of valkurm unless you make it to 20 and do outpost teleport. Do a level 15 chocobo like in the 3 starter cities to ease up on this. Main thing I like seeing is more missions. ToAU kinda sucks with missions, but perhaps when they release more they'll get better. Assault, while missions, and is very fun and has story, can only be done when you have tags available.

2. dark age of camelot was designed for the now-crappy high end 1999 pcs, and look at it now. it can be easily mistaken for a next-gen game at some points. ffxi will have to leave the ps2 eventually if it is to survive into the next generation. unless square wants it to go to the point where its like having an mmorpg on the nintendo 64 now while xbox 360s are availible cause a few stubborn people wont upgrade or the game can just die. either one. 3. if large amounts of cps were as easy to get as gil id see your point. but after a while when you need your windurstian mantle those scrolls add up.

FFXI does not need to compete with Halo or whatever fluff is the current state-of-the-art. Starcraft is still one of the most played games in history, does Blizzard need to upgrade the graphics engine to support (insert current DX standard) to stay relevant? The most played MMO games are still text based adventures, I suppose you're going to claim they better get a GUI if they want to survive. Graphics don't make a game. Are you going to buy everyone a new console or upgrade their computer for them if they can not afford it themselves? No? Then shut up about people not upgrading to every Unnecessary toy that comes along, just so you get some little benefit. Ditching the PS2 would remove most of the players, not a few, over half. Ya that's a good business move. Quote:

Lol! The introduction of a possible male mithra race would not stop the horny men playing mithras, because, obviously, men doesn't play mithras because "they don't have an available male race" but because they are pig. This is the root of the situation. So there will be really no point in introduce male mithras. About the expansion, i am a little worried..... i mean... what kind of job they could add? I guess they must start working seriously. Of course, the new expansion is not going to come out any soon, i mean, aht urhgan is new (even if japanese already raped it). I just hope they will not turn FF into Phantasy Star Online, so i say, no futuristic locations. |

SE is already developing a new MMO, but it's not a FF MMO. PS2 holds the game back in terms of it's memory. SE has said that PS2 really is not aging well, and that is the reason for such little variation in texture designs. With the release for Xbox 360, and the subsequent launch for PS3, you can't really have an old-gen game playing on a new-gen system. FFXI still does have some nice graphics, it would just be nice to see more variation. Pretty much all that I would really like to see is better missions.

I'd say "More new armor and weapons", but all that would happen is that folks would find what was "best" and then everyone would be wearing it anyway, so it wouldn't matter. But they have been adding a fair bit anyway, so I don't really think it's that bad. I'd like more missions as well.

But anyways... I would like to see more force pop HNM and more things like Limbus. Also, this might sound dumb, but I would like players to be able to level up H.E.L.M. like Fishing. (ex. I mine all the time but I mine the same as when I started the game) Added: and more cool missions!

xTempestx you have no respect for the people that dont want or cant get a PS3 I for one, don't care to get onne just for the simple fact that the stupid thing is $600 ...........that is the most rediculace thing I have heard.... (not paying $500 for a weaker version that too is stupid) For the system FFXI was designed for, the game is fine and looks great. A company is not going to screw half (if not more) of its player base to make the game "better" Pretty fluff graphics does not equal better game, unless you are a graphics hore.... and if you are then you should not be playing this game :p

Can I enjoy the gameplay and want better graphics? Of course, I'm on a PC so I can have them, but I'm just saying. It doesn't have to be either/or.

im sorry to say but ps2 support will eventually drop. they wont keep the thing on the roster of systems for another 2 years. and about daoc, which of the many console mmorpgs did you want me to use instead? i mean, they dropped hdd support so there are no new ps2 players coming, only those who have been around and like the play on the ps2 for whatever reason. thats cool and i have a ps2 too but you have to admit that if we werent limited by it, we'd have a more beautiful game. and you know why muds or text mmorpgs are the most played? cause you dont have to pay for them dont give me the newbie who only cares about graphics bs. ive been playing since july 03
